  • Crisis to Confidence: Building Safe Spaces for Our Students

    Thank you so much for supplying the materials for my counseling office. Your contribution allows students to fellowship in a safe space, learn new skills and practice mindfulness strategies. Because of your generosity, I am able to provide students with snacks and necessary tools needed to decompress. The smiles on my students faces when they saw sensory toys, puzzles and sanitary products makes the work that I do worthwhile. Counseling is just a small part of my role. My enjoyment comes from showing students the world and providing them with meaningful experiences. In the upcoming weeks, I am hoping that I can take students on college tours, sporting events and field trips.   • Our Social Work Office Is a Safe Space

    I can not thank you enough for providing my students and I with the tools we needed to make the social work office a great space. When I asked students to help me unpack the items, they were intrigued. When they put the things together for me, they were so happy to find out the items were for them. Students have come to my office to unwind, relieve stress and anxiety. With your donations, they are able to use fidgets, stress balls and play games. They loved the atmosphere and often brought a few more friends with them!
