Stock Up For The School Year
Funded Aug 17, 2019Stocking up the classroom allowed the year to start off successfully. The file organizer hanging in the classroom allows students to be self sufficient and take initiative by locating the work they missed after an absence. Color coding folders help students keep track of which worksheets are for which classes
The giant whiteboard calendar acts as a due date board, allowing students to check on upcoming assignments and kept track of what they need to get done.
Our new supplies have helped the new school year proceed smoothly.”

Field Trip to Medieval Times
Funded Mar 22, 2019Our 7th graders had an excellent time at Medieval Times last week. The trip served as a fantastic bonding experience for the kids. Students were grouped randomly and got to interact with classmates they don't usually talk with. Students in honors classes, and those in general ed classes also got to mingle and create a sense of unity. Of course, the kids had fun cheering for their knight and waving their banners.
Additionally, students were able to recognize much of what they'd learned in the Middle Ages unit: squires, chivalry, coat of arms, peasants, nobles and lords, coats of armor, jousting tournaments, pages, the feudal system, etc. Kids enjoyed finding and pointing out things they had studied. Furthermore, the presentation included a half hour devoted to anti-bullying. The Medieval Times used the queen to incorporate messages of acceptance, respect and inclusion.
