Inspired Readers!
Funded May 9, 2019When we utilize materials that are fun and bring joy to reading, my students are more focused and more motivated to become life long readers. Providing students with these fun games, and exciting materials will help motivate my students to enjoy the process of learning to become a skilled reader. We will use the Lakeshore Fluency games, Partner Scripts, Grammar, Writing, and Vocabulary games and the complete set of Language Quickies games on a daily basis to help our reading skills. We truly appreciate your support! You have helped make a great difference in our reading classroom!”

Funded May 11, 2019These teacher resource books will offer guidance and new ideas to enhance our already flourishing reading program! Each book is authored by leaders in the reading field and gives support in each of the main components of reading. The Fluency book will help with new ideas using poetry, chants and music. The Guided Reading book and flip chart will be useful as we explore new strategies to help my students reach higher goals. Our classroom theme is Superhero Readers and this rug will give my students a cozy place to sit and read every day during our D.E.A.R. reading time! Thank you so much for your support!”

Funded May 3, 2019We know that art helps us activate more areas of our brain and helps with comprehension! My students thrive when we accompany our novels with research and art. We are currently reading the novel A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Parks. This novel tells the true story of the Lost Boys of Sudan. We are researching Sudan and the plight that children have there daily as they search for clean water. We will use these ink cartridges in our classroom printer to help us print the digital art projects we will be creating that represent the novel. Ink is not provided by our school, so this will enable my students to have a hands on representation of their hard work. We are creating motivational ads to coincide with our project to help raise money for a water well in Sudan. My students are excited about finding the most creative ways to present their ideas! They have started their projects and are now able to complete them with these new supplies. Thank you again for your generosity!”

We are also using the laminating pouches to create posters and projects that we made with the new printer ink! The Reading Strategies book is full of wonderful ideas to use in our small group reading centers. Thanks again for caring about our classroom!”
