  • An Instrument for Everyone!

    Funded Jan 16, 2025

I cannot express how thankful I am for your generosity. My students are going to be so excited. Having the additional xylophones will make our instrument lessons so much more productive and save the time of passing the instruments around the room, My special needs students will also be able to continue their exploration of sounds in an efficient manor.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Schuda

  • Mini Musicians Seek Manipulatives

    Funded Mar 28, 2024

I cant begin to thank you for your recent donations. My students were very excited to receive you generous gifts of basic supplies and xylophones. These small and portable xylophones make it possible for us to quickly pull them out and add even more depth to our lessons.

My students of all grade levels have been able to benefit from this. We now have enough to use for the entire class when shared with a partner. This creative layer in our lessons allow the students to explore composing skill as well as listening to each other.

We are so appreciative of you generosity as we continue to sing, say, dance, play, and create in our classes.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Schuda

  • Music and Literacy. A Great Team!!

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

Your kind generosity has made a great difference in my classroom. The books we received from our project have been used in many lessons and the students have enjoyed them very much. It is so much fun to make a story come to life by adding music to it or to setting the word patterns to special sounds Many times students join in spontaneously as the words rhyme.

Music and literacy certainly go hand in hand. As the fluency of the music improves, so does the fluency in reading.

    We appreciate your thoughtfulness.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Schuda

  • After aYear Apart, Let's Make Music Together!

    Funded Jun 23, 2021

I was so excited to see that my project for ukeleles had been funded. This has been such a tough year for our students and I am sure we will be looking for many exciting activities to start making music together again when the new school year begins. This will give my upper grades a fresh approach to learning music and provide a new sense of excitement in our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Schuda

  • To The Beat Of A Different Drummer

    Funded Feb 14, 2020

Thank you for donating to our "Beat of a Different Drummer " project is not nearly adequate enough. Our students were so excited when our materials arrived. They all eagerly helped to unpack our buckets. We were looking so forward to making a great band with them. Then we had spring break, and then the Corona virus. We have not been in school since March 6.

So, now it looks as though we will have to wait until next school year to try our 'bucket band'. Now that we have the necessary supplies, I can plan for it as I prepare for the 2020-21 school year.

I know it will be lots of fun for the students and allow them to express themselves both as an ensemble and as future composers. Many, many, thanks to all who made this possible.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Schuda

My elementary students are a bright and inquisitive group. I always have to stay on my toes to find new ways to challenge them. They love to play instruments and get really excited when they come in my room and instruments are out. Drums are a particular favorite, but with limited storage space, it is difficult to store them and move them to the room we use for music. I would like to have a bucket drum ensemble to encourage the students creativity with rhythm and timbres. This would allow all of the students to participate at once without having to move and store all of the heavy equipment. Music has the ability to reach us where words can not. All students at our school would be able to participate in our bucket band. It is a way to bridge all of our differences and work together on a common project in a fun and unique way. By supporting the bucket band project you will be helping to provide buckets of varying sizes and literature for our new adventure. Participation in this ensemble will help all kinds of learners work together as we foster our creativity in a concrete way.
