E-Games After School
Funded Dec 12, 2024The new iPads and laptops have brought a whole new dimension to learning through e-games and educational simulations. What excites my students the most is the interactive nature of these tools. They can immerse themselves in educational games that challenge their problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and creativity, all while having fun. For example, in subjects like math or language arts, students can now use gamified apps to practice skills in a competitive but supportive environment. This brings a sense of excitement and motivation that traditional methods often lack. The students are not only learning but enjoying the process, which makes a big difference in their engagement levels.
In addition to educational games, the iPads and laptops have also been useful for virtual field trips, where students can explore historical landmarks, natural wonders, or even outer space without leaving the classroom. The ability to go on a virtual "field trip" has made lessons come to life in new and exciting waysAdditionally, some of my more tech-savvy students have really thrived with the new devices, using them to explore beyond the classroom curriculum. One student, for example, has taken a keen interest in coding and has begun using programming apps to create simple games, turning their curiosity into a passion for technology. Others have embraced the collaborative nature of the iPads, using shared documents and apps to work together on projects in ways that were much harder to do before.”

Funded Dec 10, 2024The new cleats have quickly become an essential tool in both our physical education and classroom activities. In P.E. and during soccer games. They're giving my students a boost in their performance, especially when we do agility drills and team sports. The added support and grip have made a noticeable difference in their confidence and ability to move safely on various surfaces. We've also been integrating discussions about sportsmanship, teamwork, and the science behind the cleats' design into our lessons. It's been amazing to see how excited they are to learn both physically and academically with this new equipment.
When the cleats first arrived, my students' reactions were priceless! There was an audible buzz of excitement as they unboxed them. They immediately wanted to try them on and test them out. Some of them were asking questions like, "How do they make the shoes grip better?" and "Why do the cleats look different from regular shoes?" Their curiosity has sparked deeper conversations about physics, materials, and even the history of sports footwear. Thanks to the generous contributions from donors, students now have hands-on experiences that make these lessons even more engaging and relevant. We can't wait to see how they apply what they're learning to improve their own athletic skills and scientific understanding.”

My kids use the iPad's large screen to follow along with calming visuals or calming soundscapes.
Breathing Exercises: Apps like Breethe or Calm offer breathing exercises that help regulate their nervous system, reduce stress, and improve focus. Using an iPad allows for easier following of visual prompts or relaxing animations.
Mindful Journaling: Journaling is an effective tool for self-reflection and mental well-being. Apps like Day One or Journey allow for guided or free-form journaling, helping users process emotions and track progress over time. Thank you so much for your generous donation.”

Funded Sep 19, 2024Thank you so much for your donation. The PlayStation is a game-changer for education. It allows students to immerse themselves in virtual environments that can simulate real-world scenarios, historical events, or even abstract concepts.
For example, a history class could virtually "walk" through ancient Rome or the pyramids of Egypt, giving them a deeper understanding of the subject matter.
Science and Math: Interactive VR simulations can allow students to manipulate objects, conduct virtual experiments, or visualize complex mathematical concepts in a more intuitive way.Interactive and Collaborative Learning
Online multiplayer games and shared experiences can encourage students to collaborate and communicate with each other in new ways, promoting teamwork and social learning.
Th PlayStation games also have features where my students can share achievements, problem-solve together, or even learn from each other by seeing others' approaches to challenges.”

Funded Aug 16, 2024Thanksyou for your donation. The iPad was the best resources for my high school students. My High School students are in the age where peer pressure, finding friends and trying to fit in is very hard in High School. Their mental health is important and they don't recognize the signs of anxiety, depression or self pity. To help my students recognize the symptoms I have to teach my students Mental Health. Thanks to your donation the iPad will help me teach my students how to recognize, cope and seek help if they are feeling stressed, anxiety or mental health. The iPad has the app my students are using. The app has my students taking a quiz to see if they are feeling not like themselves. The app has resources and recommendations and strategies to help cope with Mental health.
I like the app because it's confidential.”
