  • Art Room Supplies

    Funded Dec 30, 2024

Thank you so much for helping with Art supplies for the remainder of the 2025 school year. It's very generous of you to donate. Every supply donated is used in my Art room, and the students really appreciate it. There are about 300 students at Owen Marsh school, and we can use up many materials quickly. The markers, sharpies, and clay will help students to stay creative as they finish out the year. I am looking forward to using these materials with all of my students and trying some new lessons!”

  • Getting Creative with Clay!

    Funded Aug 31, 2023

We did many projects with the clay provided. I was able to use this clay at both of my school with regular education as well as special education. Students were really excited to work with this medium. We were able to create dragon eyes, coil pots and other projects. It really helped to get this Donors Choose as we would not have been able to do as many clay projects had we not gotten it.

Thank you again for your generosity. These donations make a big difference in students lives and helps them to get creative!”

  • New Year- New supplies

    Funded Mar 27, 2024

I was so excited when I go this Donors Choose funded. I was running out of certain supplies, and this really helped me to make it through the year. My students enjoyed using the markers, extra clay, and sharpies.

They enjoyed using the black sharpies as this is something that we use quite often in the art room. We were able to create some fish with the clay as well as make some new drawings with the markers. They enjoyed this a lot!

Your generosity was greatly appreciated and appreciated.

  • Special Education Resources

    Funded Oct 24, 2023

The educational toys and snacks came in really handy this year. I had two autism classes that I decided to do more of a "play" approach with art. They would finish a project and then they were able to play with toys.

These toys kept them engaged and they looked forward to playing with them each class. The especially liked the legos and play dough. I am so appreciative that I got these donations as I can use them each year for my special education classes as well as regular ed on certain occasions.

    Thank you again!”

  • Student Canvas' Art

    Funded Sep 10, 2021

I did this project at the end of the year with 5th grade. They had a few choices between sunsets and flowers. Many students chose the sunset theme with a silhouette background. They chose their own colors for the background and they turned out amazing. I have included some pictures of them as well.

I bought some stencils, and students chose which background they wanted to do. They could choose from palm trees, mountains, a city, or a few others. I could tell they were really satisfied with their work, and enjoyed the process as well.”

  • Getting Creative with Canvas!

    Funded Aug 3, 2023

I am so appreciate of your donation. My 400 students were able to do a few projects with cost and we really enjoyed them. We did dragon eyes, rainbow coil pots, pinch pot pumpkins, and rainbows. It was so fun to watch every class create something and learn.

This would not have been possible without your generosity. My art budget only covers a certain amount of supplies and your donation ensured that students got to experiment with clay. Again, thank you for the donation. My students and I are very appreciate!”

  • Canvas Art

    Funded Aug 28, 2021

My students did abstract art on the canvas.' They were 4th and 5th grade students. They traced the shapes and outlined them and then painted in the shapes with acrylic paint. They were so excited when they saw the canvas' and could not wait to use them!

We will be using the paint in the future as there is enough paint to last a while! I am so excited to get the paint out again when I get more canvas'. I noticed how bright all of the students work was and how much they learned.

We also discussed different abstract artists and the meaning of what abstract artwork is. I am so thankful that this project was funded!”

We will be using these as an end of the year Art project. I like for my 4th and 5th grade students to take the knowledge they learned throughout the year and create a piece of artwork on canvas. They can choose what they want and it takes them a couple classes to finish. Many students have never worked on canvas and this would provide them the opportunity to explore this new medium. This is also a project they can take home and hang on their wall. They enjoy it very much!
