Fine Motor Magic
Funded May 9, 2010Thank you so much for providing these engaging and strengthening fine motor activities! My kindergarten students love feeding the animals and exploring shapes and objects with laces. They didn't believe me when I told them that the fun centers they were working on would help their hands, eyes and bodies with writing!
You have removed the frustration that comes with not always being able to provide my students with the supplies and tools they need to meet their potential. You have opened up the opportunity for developmentally appropriate learning that will help my students flourish. We appreciate you!”

They are learning that letters and sounds make words and building vocabulary that will lay a foundation for future academic success.
Your support has helped me to make a difference in the lives of my students! You have freed me from the frustration of having to adapt without the materials I need and allowed me to have the freedom of expanding and enriching the instruction of each child in my classroom in a fun and engaging way.”

Crayons, Pencils And Construction Paper
Funded Mar 23, 2010Thank you so much for these staple items that we use everyday in kindergarten. You have made it possible for small hands to use developmentally appropriate pencils and small eyes to delight in a rainbow of brightly colored paper and crayons. Now we can enjoy engaging and enriching projects that will live in my students' brains for a lifetime. Thank you for helping to make their learning foundations strong and diverse.
Your support has made an enormous difference in this challenging budget climate and alleviated a burden from my mind, allowing me freedom to think of new ways to expand learning instead of wondering where classroom basics will come from. We all appreciate your support immensely.”

The new glue bottles have enhanced gluing techniques, improved motor skills, and even saved resources by wasting less glue! The glue sticks help make our letter and picture sorts quick- drying and mess- free. The students loved making letter "c" crowns and embellishing them with the colorful feathers you provided.
Please know that you have helped make learning an exciting, engaging, and enriching experience in my kindergarten classroom. You have brought color, texture, and novelty to the necessary skills that are the building blocks of learning. We all appreciate you! ”

Funded Feb 12, 2010Thank you all so much for these wonderful science tools! My apologies for taking so long to complete this package-- it has rained so much this year that it has been difficult for me to find two sunny days in a row to get this project done.
The students so enjoy the "magic shadows" that highlight plant characteristics and also provide an introduction to photography! I wish you could see their delight and hear the oohs and aahs as they watch the transformation in this sunprint paper. We all so appreciate your generosity and support of learning!”

Reading Comprehension Games
Funded Dec 11, 2009Thank you all for your wonderful support! It is so wonderful to hear students tell me that they love to play the new reading comprehension games and answer tricky questions! As you can see from the pictures, these games reach a range of students and even allow us to encourage cross age teams.
Reading comprehension has consistently been an area where our students struggle, so this added practice and support has the potential to make a huge difference in academic achievement. The games also help students feel excitement for reading and questioning and helps to replace frustration with positive associations.
Please know that your generosity has touched many lives.”

Sticker Eyes, Pattern Blocks and Glowing Stars
Funded Dec 22, 2009Thank you all so much for providing beads, eyeballs and stickers that make learning fun and enable my students to finish their projects with a special touch! As you can see from the pictures, they are already busy creating patterns, using the eyeballs on projects, and even wearing their creations! I wish you could have heard them telling each other, "My bracelet is an AB pattern" or "Mine is an AABBCC." We will get started with the pattern block stickers this month as well.
Your generosity has created an excitement for learning and helped our classroom be a fun, positive learning environment. Now my students have a chance to experience memorable activities that I would not otherwise be able to provide. You have made a difference!”

Kinder Mathematicians Meet the Standards
Funded Sep 28, 2009Thank you so much for these math supplies that bring math concepts to life! My students were so excited to try out the new materials. The frustrating vendor delays were all worth it when I saw the focus and engagement that resulted from using these wonderful new supplies.
I have also been able to use the materials during our on-site math games club after school with a mixed group ranging from K-2. It has been a very powerful experience to see older students working with younger students to explain concepts and ideas.
