• Resources and Activities for 2nd

  I am grateful to donors who donate to my projects. At the end of last year, I thought that I would be teaching 2nd grade during the 23-24 school year. Unfortunately that would not be the case, but I was still able to utilize the Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards because I taught 2nd grade for summer school! The math review pages I was able to get, and the pre-made Google Slides helped to save time and give the students work to review!

  I currently have a project that I just posted that will be utilized for items to start the school year for 24-25. I am moving down to Kinder after eight years of teaching upper elementary!”

• Gift Cards for TPT

  The gratitude I have for donors who help fund projects here on Donors Choose can never be shown through words! My students were able to practice math skills and utilize anchor charts through this funded project! I was able to select standards based material that I was able to share with my students so that they could learn and be successful!

• Writing and Art

  I am grateful for donors who are willing to donate to classrooms and students! The items that were funded through this project have been helpful! My students love being creative and have been able to utilize the items to make art! My students use the journals every day as we come in to the classroom, and then they take them home at the end of the quarter!

  The folders with the 12 double sided pockets I have been able to use as Data Binders for Math and Reading have allowed me to keep the student's running records and benchmark tests. This information is shared every week during our CTM meeting, and is organized well because of the folders!

  I currently have a project that I just posted that will be utilized for items to start the school year for 24-25. I am moving down to Kinder after eight years of teaching upper elementary!”

• Everyday Supplies

  I am very appreciative of the kindness that you've shown my class by funding this project. My students utilize the items on a daily basis! My students utilize the dry erase markers and mini erasers every day during math lesson. They can also use them during independent practice if they want to work out their problems on their desks. The hanging baskets have been utilized around the classroom, and they hold paper that is readily available for students!

• Every Day Essentials

  Thanks to your generous donation of the colored magazine bins, new pencils and sharpener, my classroom is organized and quiet! We were in desperate need of new sharpener as our old one was making a horrible grinding and tapping sound when the kids needed a sharpened pencil! Now the kids are able to quickly and quietly sharpen their utensils! The colored bins are used everyday for the student's notebooks, handwriting books, and journals! Your graciousness is appreciated more than you know!

  Next year I will be moving from 5th grade to Kindergarten. I have a project up to help fund some beginning of the year essential items for my new Kinder classroom!”

• Art Supplies for Holidays Around the World

  Your generosity in funding this project allowed my students to learn about other cultures and countries, and be creative! My students thoroughly loved learning about holidays that are celebrated around the globe! Some were able to make connections, while others were able to contrast how they celebrate a holiday versus how people of another culture celebrate! I have a great appreciation for donors of the projects that are posted on Donors Choose! The opportunities that the donors allow teacher's students is amazing!”

• Stay Organized with Storage!

  The funding for this project has helped my classroom look and be so much more organized, and it is definitely safer for all of my students! My students no longer have their backpacks hanging on their chairs! This means no more backpacks getting knocked on the floor as students are walking around the room, and therefore, no more tripping accidents or having to stop to ask someone to pick up their backpacks! Plus, they aren't in their backpacks when they shouldn't be! The rack for the student's instruments has also been a game changer for my classroom! With 17 out of 21 students who have either a violin or a brass instrument, my room was a crowded mess at the beginning of the year with instruments on the floor in the back of the room! Now, the instruments are all in one place, out of the way, and safe on a shelf! Donors, thank you so much for your support of my students and classroom!”

• Headphones for Learners!

  The funding of this project has allowed my students the use of earbuds that are easy to store, easy to move around the classroom or school if needed, and comfortable to wear! The use of the clunky, over-the-head old headphones was becoming an issue with storage and we had started finding that the headphones were getting broken often. We use technology daily in my classroom, and my students are finding their new headphones very useful! I also have students that move to other classroom throughout the day, and the small tins allow for easy storage, as well as easy transport to and from the classroom. • Class and Art Supplies

  The supplies that were purchased through this project were some class and art supplies. My students utilize the art supplies for several different art project. One of the art projects that we did was the Mother's Day cards that I have attached photos of. The students used construction paper and tissue paper to create a vase and flowers. My students absolutely loved doing art projects this last year, and they enjoyed the items that were received through this project very much!

  For the 2023-2024 school year, I am actually switching grade levels to 5th grade! I will be using many of the items I've received from past projects in my new classroom with my 5th graders!”

• Winter Art Projects

  The items that were purchased through your donations to this project allowed my students to create beautiful art pieces for their families! I have some wonderfully artistic students in my room this year, and they were so excited to be able to create pieces of art that they are proud of. I am thankful for your donation and help with funding this project.

  Currently, we are getting ready to finish out the year, and the students will be participating in a series of Minute to Win It games where they will be working together in teams! I know that they will have a blast!”
