Good Nights for Good Days
Funded Nov 17, 2019Handing out pajamas to my students is such an incredible feeling, and I couldn't do it without amazing generosity from people like you. One specific student who received a pair, was so excited he actually jumped up and down. He said that because he got pajamas he could wear them for pajama day at school; otherwise he wouldn't even have had a pair to put on. It's the small, simple things that so many of us overlook, that bring such joy to some of my students. I love how grateful they are and how excited the are to receive something new. Thank you again, so much for your help.”

Sneaker Sense
Funded Jun 24, 2019My students love coming into the gymnasium for P.E. class. It's such an amazing place for some of them to showcase their skills and talents. It's heartbreaking when you hear a kid say they can't play because their sneakers ripped, or their parents can't get them new ones. Today you made sure a 5 year old had sneakers to participate in P.E. class this week and not have to worry about tripping out of a broken sneaker. The things we sometimes take for granted, are necessities for these children. Thanks to you, they can breath a little easier.

Clean, Calm and Succeeding!
Funded Feb 20, 2019Thank you for your generosity and kindness in donating to my project for my students. I have already given out a great deal of supplies to them! Thanks to your thoughtfulness, my students had clean items to change into, basic hygiene products to use and most importantly a boost in confidence when they received them. One of my students came in with no underwear on because he said there wasn't any at his home. Being able to give a child such a basic necessity, and to see how excited he was about it was heartwarming. A little bit goes a long way here, and I couldn't have done it without your help. Thank you again.”

Learning Starts at Night!
Funded Sep 17, 2018I wish these pictures did justice to the smiles my students had on their faces. Seeing them picking a brand new pair of pajamas was amazing. They were beyond excited, and for something so simple, something many of us take for granted each day. Many of my students told me "I don't have pajamas" or "These are new? For me!?". It was amazing and heartbreaking all at the same time. I want to thank you so much for your generosity during the holiday season that made such a positive impact on my students. I truly believe a good day starts with a good night, and providing pajamas for them really makes the possible. Thank you again.”

Funded Jun 23, 2018I had the items delivered to my school, and no sooner had I unpacked them, I had given away 6 pairs of socks to students in need. Thanks to the generous donations from you, I was able to help my students with basic necessities. It's so important to look good, and feel good every day. I truly believes it helps with learning, when students are not distracted by ill-fitting clothes, and missing items that every child should have without question. Funded May 17, 2018Children came to my office in the gym and went shopping for new pajamas. What an odd sentence; but it's the truth. Their eyes lit up. They had a choice. Something brand new, with tags, that wasn't a hand me down. I wish I could send videos of their reactions, screams of happiness and them jumping around. All over a pair of pajamas. Things most of us take for granted. This is a project I hold so close to my heart. It's something I plan on repeating as much as possible. No child should be going to bed in their jeans. Something so small, brought an infinite amount of joy to my students. Thank you so much for making this a reality for them.”

Funded May 23, 2018I wish you could have seen the look on my student's faces when I was able to give her new shoes. One of my little ones was wearing shoes with literal holes in them; her socks were sticking out of the top. She couldn't believe she was getting something brand new with tags just for her. She wore them immediately. I want to be able to do that for all of my students, and thanks to generous donations from you all, I am able to help them in ways that I couldn't do myself. Teaching is more then just books, and learning. It's life skills, and essentials so students know they are valued and worthy. Thank you again for your help in sending that message home to my students.”

Funded Apr 5, 2018Imagine going to bed at night in the clothes you wore all day? Unfortunately that is a reality for so many of my students. Having a clean, fresh and new pair of pajamas can allow my students to have a good night sleep, so that they can have a productive day at school. Education is so important to many of my students, but they lack the money to buy basic necessities. With your generosity, I was able provide more than 60 of my students pajamas. Their faces said it all! One of them said to me "NEW clothes! For me to KEEP!?" She was flabbergasted. Thank you so, SO much for your thoughtfulness. You have changed the lives of students.”

Funded Mar 28, 2018Thank you is not enough! I am so excited to give my students these sweatshirts. Being able to provide something clean, warm and new to students who literally have been wearing the same sweatshirt all year, is amazing. Every child should have access to new clean clothes; basic necessities for life. Students don't come to school because it's too cold. New York City winters, and springs are brutal, especially when you are walking 3 miles to school with just a t-shirt, or a sweatshirt 2 sizes too small.
This is such an amazing gift for my students, and I truly thank you for your generosity. You have greatly improved the lives of so many of my students.”
