Science for the Young (STEM)
Funded Dec 17, 2015First off, thank you for you choosing our class as your donor in partnership with Donor's Choose. Thank you so much for your generous donation to support our classroom. Our class will put all the generous science center items to good use. The teacher and students are happy to receive new items that help our classrooms with more fun ways of learning with ease. With your donations, our classroom was fully funded to receive a science table and materials to set up the science learning center.
When the "presents" were arriving to our classroom, the students were so excited just to see what was in the mystery boxes. We even converted our big box that transported our science table into a box house and use it as a reading corner in our library area (see attached pictures). Seeing the students interest peeked by looking through small microscopes of slides that show a little glimpse of the cells is very heart warming. The students are getting their first introductions to seeing science in different forms even in a pre-k classroom.
Thank you so much for your contribution toward our school. Our students and staff greatly benefit from these types of donations, as they serve to help our school use resources we would have otherwise spend personal finances on.
Thank you for your time and generous donations that are being put to good use and your support.”

Funded Nov 11, 2015On behalf of my Special Education Pre-School class, I would like to thank you for your generous gift and donation to support our program. Your commitment to helping our classroom is sincerely appreciated.
Through our programs I have seen many students progress and make great leap and bounds to enter kindergarten changed for the better.
In particular the students have enjoyed great success in the past year. My students are learning to write their names and recognize all the letter so the alphabet.
The goal of the program is to continue to make a difference in early intervention to help all our students succeed to each of their abilities. With the help of donations from supporters such as you we will continue to see improvements in our students with additional classroom support materials.
Thank you again for your generous support!”

Learning Through Technology
Funded May 28, 2015Thank you for choosing our class as your donor in partnership with Donor's Choose. Our class has been putting the iPad you have generously donated towards to good use. Our students and staff are ecstatic about the iPad and greatly benefit from these types of donations, as they serve to help our class use resources I would have otherwise spent from my personal finances.
I as the teacher have been able to use my new iPad at professional development trainings I have attended and my students are happy to use the educational applications that help learn and write our alphabet and numbers. We are so happy to have received the new items that help our classrooms with more technology to help us learn more.
Thank you so much for your kind and generous contribution toward our class. Your wonderful donation helps us modify and adapt lessons to help my students in my special education pre-k program. The students are highly motivated to also earn extra minutes to learn and play on the iPad with their friends.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generous donations.

Funded Jul 12, 2012Thank you so much for your generous donation to support our class! Your support to help our class to gain the Leapsters to help with our students play and learn at the same time has been a great asset to our program. It is because of generous donors like you that our students can benefit from enrichment programs like our Special Education Preschool Program. The students are motivated to work extra hard to earn more time on the Leapsters to play with their partners. The donation had been a great reward system the students look forward to on a daily basis. We are grateful for you support and being part of our great program! Thank you so much!”

A Helping Hand!
Funded Jan 25, 2012THANK YOU for your donations! My students are all so happy with their newest dinosaur toys in the class! Those dinosaurs has been able to motivate and encourage our students to eat more food and work harder in class. The students are now coloring neater, tracing their letters more legibly and taking ownership in the outcome of their projects and work. They are so proud of themselves when they complete their assigned tasks and then are rewarded with longer time at the centers to play with the dinosaurs and large animals. During play time, there is more positive social communication going on as well. Thank you for supporting our learning and growing in our class!”

Funded Jan 19, 2012To our generous donors,
Thank you so much for fulfilling our Donor's Choose Wish List! The software games for our new computers and the rope arrived quickly. We loaded the games onto the computers allowing the children to go on the computer to use to motivate and reward students on task. The students have been practicing tracing their letters and numbers neatly. The work the students have been producing has been phenomenal! The students enjoy sharing the computers in groups of 3 taking turns playing games that teach them their letters, numbers, and more vocabulary. The ring ropes also help the students walk safely to and from the class to their bus. They walk in such a straight line, they do not even need an adult to guide them. Thank you so much for all your support!”
