These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because they will give students objects to help them regulate and de-escalate their heightened emotions so they can focus on learning. These items will help the students feel calm and focused during learning times and help them go to their general education classes successfully. The visual timers will allow the students to gain independence by keeping track of how long they are in their classes and when they can take a break. The flexible seating options allow them to fidget freely in their seats without becoming a distraction and allow them to utilize some of their energy. These materials will greatly benefit students and allow them to be successful in the classroom.
