Art Supplies for Fantastic Artists
Funded Sep 23, 2015This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my visual arts class. The markers, crayons, scissors, drawing paper, black construction paper, multi-color construction paper, glue, and colored pencils are being used in many of my class projects from pre-k to 5th grade. I have used many of these materials in multi-media projects. We have used the markers to create line pattern sombreros, crazy watercolor leaves, and miniature monochromatic masterpieces. We have used the colored pencils and crayons to design portfolios, miniature monochromatic masterpieces, crazy hair day line patterns, Aztec suns, and family portraits. We have used the scissors and multi-colored construction paper to create Panama mola collages for Hispanic heritage month.
With the small budget allotted for visual arts at our school, without your help, my students would not have had these vital materials in our visual arts class. When I showed my students the new materials, they were excited to begin exploring them in the class projects.
Without donors like you, thousands of classrooms in New York would go without. I plan to continue using these materials throughout the rest of the school year with more exciting projects. I have an upcoming unit on Color (Element of Art) and project related to the seasons as well as upcoming holidays where these materials will be of great use. Thank you so much!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Ruiz
Help Art Thrive In My School!
Funded Aug 23, 2015This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my visual arts class. The gallons of tempera paint, paintbrushes, graphite pencils, and markers are being used in many of my class projects from pre-k to 5th grade. We have used the tempera paint to create school performance banners (Hispanic Heritage Month Performance and S.T.E.A.M. Night), apple stamping, and paper plate morpho butterflies. We have used the markers to create line pattern sombreros, crazy watercolor leaves, and miniature monochromatic masterpieces. We have used the graphite pencils to create a city of lines, abstract line patterns, and hand zentangles.
