Funded Sep 27, 2019Thank you so much for your generous donation! My class was extremely excited when the items for our business began arriving! Students have had the opportunity to inventory, stock, and sell items on a daily basis. They take pride in their jobs and look forward to seeing who earned employee of the month!
Each day, students put on the aprons, practice their jobs, and get working! We've been able to create an opportunity for them to have real world experiences while working on their communication and socialization skills. This business has been incredibly successful for each and every student. We can't wait to continue our cafe cart!”

Wild About The Philadelphia Zoo!
Funded Feb 14, 2018Thank you so much for helping us get to the Philadelphia Zoo! We had an amazing experience learning about different animals and their habitats. We spent the entire day walking around and seeing every exhibit!
One highlight of the trip was seeing animals on the move! Tigers and lions were free to roam in tunnels above us! This was exciting for each and everyone of us!
When we got back to school, we selected our favorite animals to do a project about. It was interesting to learn what animals eat, who they hunt, and how they survive! The zoo was a fantastic experience!”

Successful Sensory Seating
Funded Aug 2, 2019The students in my Autistic Support class are in love with their new sensory seating! The wobble stools are a great way to increase sensory input during instruction. Students really enjoy them and look forward to it being their turn.
When the students first saw the stools, they were very excited by them. They immediately wanted to wobble, wiggle, and spin on them! They are a perfect addition to our center rotations and encourage students to come over and learn new things!
We truly appreciate your generous donation that helped us to be able to have this type of flexible seating. It has given students the chance to be themselves and wiggle while they work! I hope to incorporate even more flexible seating into our room in the future!”

Funded Feb 26, 2019Thank you so much for making our cafe cart dream come true! My students were very excited to inventory the items, stock the cart, and begin their new jobs. Each child was able to apply for a job and go to work each day. They take pride in their positions and are mastering a variety of socialization, communication, and functional academic skills.
Students have begun making incredible progress in each of their job positions. We've expanded and ordered uniforms! Students take their uniforms and practice using our washing and dryer to take care of those uniforms.
I can't explain how much positive impact this project has made on our Autistic Support Classroom. We've been able to spread the word, "See the ABLE, not the LABEL" to everyone that we interact with. The money raised from our cart has gone to amazing resources for the students, directly. Children who needed clothing have received it. We've been able to fund our community based instruction trips, and we continue to keep our business well stocked!”
