Yearbook students use cameras to take pictures of LITERALLY everything. Every school event, sporting event, fine arts event. If it's happening, yearbook is there with cameras. With the different types of events they cover, they need the right equipment. Cameras, of course, to take the best pictures they can. Tripods to avoid blurry photos, telephoto lenses for sports and other action or long distance shots, neck straps to keep the camera safe and secure, SD cards for plenty of storage (a single student can take hundreds of photos at a single event). And the better the equipment, the better chance of getting just that right shot that can not only light up a yearbook, but win them awards and recognition not just for themselves, but for the school too. The yearbook team is recording the memories that their fellow students will look back on for the rest of their lives.
