Team Building Takes Time.
Funded Jan 25, 2020Thank you so much for your donation! Without your donation the students would not have the fun they were having before Covid19. When we were in the classroom we had flashlight Fridays and sometimes during the week. They loved turning off the lights and using their flashlights to read their books. They specially loved that they had their own mini dry erasers! They loved that they were magnetic and they could place it on the side of their desk so they wont lose them.
When I told them that we were going to get a few gifts that were donated for them was just a great thing to see. Their eyes opened wide and their smiles got bigger. They were so excited that they asked me everyday if the packaged had arrived. When they saw a box, they would ask if that was it. When I told them yes, they wanted me to open it right away. They were just ecstatic!
Due to Covid19, we didn't get to do more fun stuff but they enjoyed it no matter what!”

Reading is on Fire!
Funded Nov 15, 2018First I would like to thank you for funding our project! Many of our students do not have the privilege to have technology at home and when they get to use it at school they take full advantage of it. When I told them that our project was funded they were very excited and couldn't wait to use the,.
Each student has an opportunity to use the tablet by going into a program called MyOn, where they are able to read and have books read to them. Those students that are learning English as a second language are the ones that have really benefit from them the most. When they first started they were reading at a kinder level and they have gone up a grade level and have developed acquired a bigger vocabulary. They have also started to love to read and found new interest in different genres of books.
Not only are they reading they are also able to log into out HUB and work on their math skills and learn new things on BrainPop. The students and I are very thankful for your generosity and kindness! Thank you!!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Rodriguez
