My students have returned to the classroom in April. However, many of my students have come back to school without the basic supplies needed for class. Everyday, I have students asking for pencils, notebooks, expo markers, and more. However, we are not allowed to share materials and we will not be able to share materials next year as well. Therefore, it is making it very hard for my students to and for me to teach them.
By giving my students basic supplies, you are giving them the opportunity to learn and be successful. Every child deserves a chance to learn. Having to tell them that I don't have pencils and paper for them is very hard. I want my students to do well but I need the supplies to be able to teach them.
Having a hybrid model where kids are in school two days a week and home three days a week is very hard. Students are leaving things at home that they need the days that they are in school. By giving my students these supplies, you are allowing them to have supplies to keep in school as well as at home so that my students are prepared for class when they come.
