Flexible seating is popping up in many classrooms across the country. As adults, we like to move when we are working, so why wouldn't our students like to move around too. With multiple seating options, my students will be able to move around while still working. By having more flexible seating, students will have the ability to make decisions on what they want to sit on while they are working. Whether the student prefers to sit on the bench, or at their desk with a wobble stool or balance balls while they are thinking, they will have the ability to make the choice. I have seen already how allowing them to pick their seating has affected their learning. Adding the wobble stools, wobble cushions, balance balls, yoga cushions, and another bench, will allow more of my students to move around, as well as give them more options, while they are working. Help us move a little!
