A Space For All to Feel Like They Belong!
Funded Aug 23, 2023I am immensely grateful for your generous contribution towards funding my project earlier this year. The impact of your support has been truly remarkable, and I wanted to share some heartening updates with you.
The resources you helped provide have become an integral part of my classroom, benefiting my students on a daily basis. The anxiety strips, in particular, have proven to be invaluable, offering a calming influence during stressful moments such as tests or class participation. The assortment of fidget tools has been a resounding success, with my students expressing genuine enthusiasm for them.
The signs and posters you made possible have not only captured their attention but have become a focal point in the classroom. It's heartening to observe my students regularly reading and engaging with these visual aids. The overarching goal of creating a space that feels like a second home for them has undeniably been achieved. The positive comments I hear, such as "I love this room," "This feels so homey," and "Wow, this room is my favorite," are a testament to the welcoming environment we've cultivated together.
Thanks to your generosity, my students now eagerly anticipate attending English Language Arts (ELA) class, actively participating in lessons, and confidently utilizing the tools available around the room to support their individual needs. Your impact extends beyond the tangible resources; you've contributed to creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere that enhances the overall learning experience.
Once again, I extend my deepest gratitude for your kindness and support. Your belief in this project has made a lasting difference in the lives of my students, fostering a love for learning and a sense of comfort within our classroom.”

Funded Sep 21, 2022Thank you so much for your donations. Because of your generosity, my girls have, not only a safe space to express themselves but also an environment they look forward to being in. We start our meetings on the yoga mats and complete and body scan in order to check in with ourselves and set our intentions for the day. While doing various activities such as; intentional bracelets, learning the power of no, finding our communication style, etc, the girls love sitting on the yoga balls. At the end of each meeting the girls reflect and write in their own journals.
When the girls first saw the materials they were so excited and shocked. We spent one meeting opening everything and setting them up. We also took this opportunity to speak about the kindness that some people have and because of their compassion for our cause, we are able to have these products. Their hearts were so filled.”

Funded Apr 11, 2022Thank you so much for all you contributions. The students were so excited to open up all the donations. They couldn't wait to set up all the items, in our Carter Store. Your donations motivated our students to want to earn Carter Cash. These donations also helped our middle school students take on a role of leadership. They priced the items, took hold of the inventory and displayed them for the other students. They also learned the valuable lesson of giving. They were well aware that all items were donated by people who wanted to help and see them do well.”
