Sharing is Not Always Caring..during a pandemic
Funded Dec 29, 2020Thank you for donating to our classroom. My students were ecstatic to know that because of you, we were all able to have our own Chromebooks and did not have to worry about sharing germs when we shared our Chromebooks.
The world that our young adults/ children live in today is very different than what we are used to. Our new generation has grown up around technology and for some of them that is all they know. In the classroom, we use Technology all throughout the day. We have a 65 inch tv that I will cast my lessons to when I am teaching on top of all students now having their own Chromebooks. The way I assign and grade papers is through technology. There are very few times where we use only pencil and paper. That is why your donation means the world to us.
On top of the world evolving into a technology based society, we are now living in a pandemic. Our school district has been doing "in-person" school around 60% of this school year. We have to take extra precautions everyday to ensure cleanliness and a healthy learning environment. Your donation helped us remove one less task off of our precaution list!
Again, thank you for your generosity. Children are our future so anything invested in them, I see as a good investment :”

Funded Nov 18, 2018My students and I love our new resources. My students were so excited to hear that our project was funded. One of my students even said, "Wow, I didn't know that people I didn't know, cared so much about my learning." That was a powerful statement to hear for myself and I wanted to share that with you.
Writing time has been so much easier with the oversize magnetic notebook paper. As second grade students it is their first time utilizing notebook paper so I have to teach them how to use it on top of using it to finish assignments. I can give real examples using the magnetic notebook paper and students know what exactly is expected of them.
I will be using the magnetic alphabet letters in order to allow students to work on their spelling and phonics. Some students learn better with objects they can put their hands on versus writing it down. I have seen a tremendous improvement with spelling and spelling patters when using the magnetic letters every day.
Again, thanks so much for your generous donation. Children are our future and deserve to have the same opportunities as every one else. Providing these materials have helped this happen for the students in my room.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Riley
