  • Building the Love for Reading

    Funded Jun 20, 2024

On behalf of my students and myself, I would like to extend our sincere gratitude for your generous donations. Your contributions have enabled us to not only sharpen our pencils but also enhance our intellectual growth. We successfully collaborated to write a book that will be available in our library for other students and staff to borrow. In it, we included positive messages aimed at inspiring others.

Additionally, several students took the opportunity to express their gratitude by writing thoughtful notes to me after receiving the donated book, "Garvey's Choice." I sincerely appreciate your significant contribution to our success. Once again, thank you very much for playing an integral role in our push for education!!! Wishing you the same blessings you have given to our scholars.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Richardson

  • Building Leadership Skills

    Funded Feb 8, 2024

My scholars and I can't thank you enough for your generosity. We have already began the work. My ambassador club loves to use the pwns to score their peers' work. Once the work has been scored, we hang them in the Hall of Fame where we used the boarder.

As the scholars open the gifts they were ecstatic! It sounded like Christmas morning. I informed them that all items were donated by some really caring people and they asked to send their THANK YOUs to each one of you. So on behalf of my scholars and myself, we THANK YOU for your kindness in funding our vision.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Richardson

  • Calming Space for All Learners

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

Thank you for your kindness and generosity. The scholars have enjoyed opening the gifts from you. The joy in their voices and eyes were so sweet. They love making things for me so I can display it on the cork board. They enjoy the Peace Palace with the soft rug. They can sit on the rug and use the meditation elephant and little SPOT of emotion plush toys with the feelings book. The string lights hang in our school store and their first response was, "WOW! This is the best place ever!"

As we continue to support scholars' emotionally and mentally, I have used the printer and laminating pouches to create colorful instructional pieces that grabs their attention and becomes more enjoyable. To enlighten positivity across all settings, I like to randomly surprise scholars with a card and squishy. These are placed on their desk to see when their first walk into their classrooms.

The wicker chair (and pillows) is a comfortable place for scholars to use the elephant mediation toy as well. They are also allowed to take a pillow into the tent when choosing to go to be alone and calm down. Overall, they are enjoying their blessings from you and for that I am so thankful. May God bless you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Richardson

  • Calming Corners

    Funded Sep 1, 2022

This school year has been a blessing for so many reasons with you being one. Our scholars have loved entering into a calming space that they can feel safe, loved, and comfortable. As they took turns opening the items, it sounded like an exciting Christmas morning. The scholars were so cute and had a blast watching each other unwrap the gifts from those who supported them.

They use the calming puppy and express your feelings sensory bottles to self regulate their emotions. It has been such a hit with scholars of all grade levels. Some of the scholars with the most intense behaviors are now able to support other scholars. It's beautiful to watch children helping peers conquer difficult moments.

The scholars say that the artificial plants and roses around the sink makes them think of decor within their own homes. The moon lamp is fun for them to sit with while in the tent. All of these things supports our scholars with providing a warm and comforting feeling. I can't thank you enough for supporting our scholars...thank you and God bless!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Richardson

  • Scholars Speaking Volumes Without Saying a Word

    Funded Nov 20, 2018

I would like to personally thank you for your generosity. At times, my scholars require some additional support in order to be successful throughout their school day. I often create interactive lessons (which they love), but with the iPad, printer, and laminator have all been a blessing to our classroom. The iPad allows us to use programs individually while assessing specific skills. We also have the option of using the iPad as a reinforcement for excellent behavior. The scholars come to class ready to work hard in order to earn time with academic programs on the iPad. The printer allows us to print color photos of the scholars' work to hang out into the hallway. They give even more effort on their writing projects because they know their incentive will be to print their hard work in color and let the entire school walk by and see their fabulous work. The headphones have made listening to our sight word activity on the computer a more comfortable experience for all. As a teacher, it is important to save materials and reuse them throughout the year(s). I laminate the review sheets used during writing. The scholars are allowed to use a dry erase marker to write on the review sheet and erase it when finished. The love having the opportunity to write on their own personal check sheet, erase it, and use it again the following day. My scholars and I want to personally thank you again for the blessing that you have provided to our little school family.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Richardson

As a special education educator, scholars enter my classroom with different abilities and needs which means that they require differential instruction. Differential instruction may look like lots of movement, song, writing in the sand, using crayons instead of a pencil, using pencil grips to assist in holding an item, touchscreen electronics for lessons due to a decrease in motor abilities, increasing font size due to being visually impaired, and the list goes on. I love going above and beyond for my scholars and families because I know they are able to do more than they are often given credit for. In order to create interactive lessons and materials we must raise money to purchase the items requested. These items will help I will always be the voice for my scholars as they are learning to use their own. Any and all donations are a blessing and very much appreciated. Even if this project is not fully funded I thank you in advance.
