  • Healthy Snacks Keeps the Brain Intact

    Funded Nov 10, 2017

Thank you so much for your help in funding our "Healthy Snacks Keeps the Brain Intact" project. The students were super excited to open the boxes and to see all of the healthy snacks. There were several snacks that the students had not heard or seen before. The students came up with the idea to do taste testing some afternoons so that all the students have an opportunity to taste the snacks in hopes that they will make healthier choices when selecting snacks at the store.

To their surprise, looks are deceiving. I describe the ingredients in the snacks and different students try and give a review of the snack. Not only are they receiving the snacks so that their brains can remain intact they are also making better decision when purchasing snacks.”

  • Let's Get Clean and Healthy!

    Funded Jul 27, 2017

Thank you for donations towards my "Let's Get Clean and Healthy". In middle school I like to reiterate responsibility for ourselves and our environment, and having the cleaning materials such as the broom and dust pan, paper towels and Clorox wipes has help to keep the environment clean and reiterates responsibility.

The large containers of hand sanitizer as well as the tissues are readily available for all students to use when necessary.

The students love using the gloves to clean the desk and they are looking forward to using them for science experiments.”

  • Printer and Ink to the Rescue!

    Funded Jul 27, 2017

Thank you so much for donating towards our printer and the ink. It has relieved the tension of standing in line to use the printer and also it allows myself and the students to have access to a printer at all times.

The students were excited to see that we had a printer in the room and have already used the it to print out rules that they created to share with the class.

Other students who where the recorders for their table were very excited to be able to print out the results from their group activities. One student was quoted as say "It will make your life and our lives easier to have a printer in the room."”

  • Pencils, Papers and Supplies, Oh My!

    Funded Mar 29, 2017

Thank you for funding the items to enhance my classes group activities. We were able to smoothly complete the end of the year without worrying about supplies.

The paper was used to complete activities, pencils and erasers were readily available and therefore, instruction was not interrupted.

The students played multiplication bingo and were able to have their markers as well as erasers.

The other objects were of great help, a pencil sharpener that worked all the time was a pleasure.

The students was so happy to receive the materials. I presented the items like it was Christmas. They immediately wanted to use the dry erase marker and the erasers.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. HIcks

We need basic supplies to complete this year successfully. The students often come to my class without supplies and I would love to be able to supply them with pencils, erasers, a sharpener, dry erase markers with erasers and paper. They will be using the pencils and paper to complete math and reading assignments. The white boards supplies will also be used for group activities. Please considering helping out my students in getting these necessary materials that they need for the rest of the year. Your donation will make a big difference in the lives of 400 students. Thanks so much for your support.
