Funded May 9, 2025hen our students first walked into the classroom and saw the new books, their faces lit up with pure excitement. Many ran straight to the bins and shelves, calling out titles they recognized or had always wanted to read. It was like watching kids in a candy store—except they were hungry for stories. Thanks to your generous donation, our classroom library has become a place of discovery, inspiration, and joy.
We've already launched a reading challenge where each student selects a book that interests them and sets a personal reading goal. During independent reading time, the classroom is now filled with a quiet, focused energy. One student who previously struggled to stay engaged during reading activities has now become one of our most enthusiastic participants, proudly tracking progress and recommending books to classmates. These new materials have helped create a culture of reading where students feel empowered to explore literature at their own pace and ability level.
Next, we're planning a "book talk" project where students will share their favorite reads with their peers, practicing speaking and listening skills while encouraging one another to dive into new genres. Your support didn't just give us books—it gave our students a sense of ownership and pride in their reading journey.
