Heat Advisory: No Fan, No AC...Please Help Us!

We are so grateful for our portable air conditioner. The classroom has transformed from a sweat box into a cool and pleasant learning environment. During the Book Support Challenge (science investigation), students really noticed the climate change. We weren't sweating and groggy; everyone seemed comfortable and actively engaged.

When the air conditioner arrived, my students and the staff were surprised. I had great experiences with Donors Choose in the past as a donor and receiver. My students learned first hand the power of giving and how strangers or a small community could have such a positive impact on others. Not only did the air condition change the environment physically, intellectually and social emotionally too.

I look forward to supporting future projects. Experiences like this remind me of the power of love. Mother Teresa said, "It's not about how much we give, but how much love we put into giving."
