In Need of Classroom Supplies!
Funded Aug 17, 2019Imagine the surprise on my students' faces when we received a phone call from the main office that a several packages came for our class. They were all eager to see what's inside the box. Just in time, the materials came during the first week of school. We were so excited to use the markers on our new dry-erase tables. We printed signs, labels, and nameplates on the card stock paper. The children were so happy to see their names on the tables. They were all eager to help with decorating our classroom and organizing the math tool kit binders. They were all eager to sharpen pencils and help out in laminating graphic organizers. These materials really made an impact in welcoming our students and making them feel at home in their new classroom.
We are all very grateful for your support. The materials really made an amazing difference to the new school year. Thank you very much!”

Funded Nov 30, 2017Thank you very much for giving us the opportunity of learning outside the classroom by donating to our class trip. This trip has taught our students the importance of learning about the past. The students were so engaged in finding out how the past shaped what New York City is at present. They especially liked how the tour guide gave detailed accounts of our city's history. They saw the real thing and it was an interactive learning experience for them. They were amazed that the bus was fitted with LED lights, which made the ninety-minute ride really colorful and exciting. The bus also has television screens that showed video clips of the history of Times Square, Broadway, Radio City Music Hall and the world-famous Rockettes, the New York Public Library, and many more historical places in the city. At the end of the tour, all of the students were saying that it was the best school trip ever.”

Rug Time in Pre-K!
Funded Sep 19, 2017We are very grateful for your generosity and we thank you for supporting our classroom. Having a carpet to sit on when we do our morning meeting makes a huge difference. It shows how a community of learners gather together, looking forward to a great school day. The students are always looking forward to independent reading, a time when they find a comfortable spot on the rug and read their favorite book. We also use the rug for whole group writing lessons and is also perfect for our yoga and movement activities. We can't thank you enough for your kindness.”

Funded Aug 28, 2016Dear Ms. RACHEL SIMMONS-NORTHCROSS
Thank you very much for funding our project. It was an amazing way to start the new school year! The children and I were all excited to see the brand new tables and chairs. It is a perfect addition to our classroom. Before, the old wooden chairs were very heavy for them to move to their preferred spots during center time. Now, maneuvering the chairs you donated is so much easier for them. They do it themselves and gone are the dragging noise that can be very disruptive. The tables and chairs were also the perfect size for them! No more dangling feet.
We can't thank you enough and we are so grateful for donors like you.”

Color Our World!
Funded Dec 31, 2014On behalf of my Pre-Kindergarten class, we would like to thank all of you for funding our project. With your donation, our class now have a color printer with spare ink to print pictures and newsletters for our school community. Your generosity made printing colorful pictures and projects faster and easier. With a click of the mouse, my students proudly showcase their creativity with printed pictures they can take home and share with their families. Newsletters in vivid colors are now very enticing to read. In fact, several families have asked for extra copies to share with their relatives. Family engagement is at it's best and this is all because of you. Thank you once again for your support.”

Funded Jan 30, 2014Thank you so much for your generous donation. On behalf of all the students in my class, please accept our sincerest gratitude for making this project a reality. The kids were so excited when they saw three big boxes in the classroom after winter break. It felt like Christmas morning when we were opening them.
The kids look forward to painting using the brand new easel you donated. Now, we are able to put two students at the painting area, making the wait time shorter, and clean -up easier. The dress-up furniture made costumes very accessible to the kids and with the spacious shelving, they were able to put everything back in its place. The pretend-play refrigerator was a wonderful addition to our kitchen center.
Once again, we are very grateful to have caring people like you. Thank you for making learning fun!”

Make Arts and Crafts Happen in Our Classroom
Funded Jan 7, 2014The kids were so excited to see the paint, paint cups, and play dough when it arrive on Thursday. The next day was "Fun Friday" and of course, they were so happy to use the materials you donated. We can't thank you enough! The kids were able to demonstrate their creativity and imagination using different colored paints. When I asked what the painting is about, one student answered " it's a plate with little sea shells". They were so proud of their creation. The play dough gave them a chance to improve their finger dexterity and improve their fine motor skills.
Our school is so blessed to have supporters like you. Together with your help, we are making a difference in their lives. Once again, thank you so much!”

Life Cycle of a Butterfly
Funded Jul 6, 2012Thank you so much for giving my students a chance to grow butterfly in the classroom. It was an amazing hands-on learning experience for them. Their eagerness to learn about the painted lady butterflies are so evident in their participation and engagement throughout the entire process. The impact of having a real live butterfly made the process meaningful and concrete, instead of just using books and videos. Your donation gave them an authentic learning experience. The students learned how something so simple can transform into a beautiful creation.”
