• Essential Supplies for Math Class!

  We can't thank you enough for helping us get the essential math supplies that we need for math class. Our class has been on an awesome math lessons. We've been learning about different addition and subtraction strategies such as counting on and counting back, adding doubles and near doubles, and using the hundred chart. The anchor charts were so helpful. We used the printable labels for our daily problem solving "do now". We also created an awesome bulletin board display using the colored card stocks and laminating sheets. And this is just the beginning. Your donation made the daily math lessons engaging. • Sensational Sensory Incentives Help Teach About Savings

  I can't thank you enough for making this project happen. My students and I were very excited in setting up our store and seeing the fun incentives they can earn.

  We kicked it off by showing kindness to one another and each time the students were caught being kind and responsible, they earn "classroom bucks" to be used to purchase incentives in our classroom store.

  This week, they choose to buy modeling foam as part of our "Fun Friday" activity. Each student showed their creativity by molding the foam into different objects. They enjoyed the activity so much that they didn't want it to end.

  I also added some of the sensory incentives in our SEL corner. When one student needs a socio-emotional break, they can purchase a "ticket" to go there. It's the most requested spot in our classroom.”

• A MacBook Air Today Will Benefit My Students Everyday!

  My students and I are beyond grateful for making this project happen. You should see the excitement on their faces when the package arrived. We now have a working MacBook to access online lessons, assessments, and interactive websites.

  We are using this computer to type final copies of several writing units. And let me tell you how quickly we can print from this computer. We also it used to create books online thru BookCreator. We continuously used it to play Kahoot, a fun way to review lessons thru games. We also use it to bring virtual visitors in our class. We hook it up on the Smartboard to meet authors and artists. The students engage with virtual visitors through questions and answers and guided arts and crafts activities.

• Ready, Set, Learn!

  We are so grateful for these school supplies we received. My students and I were so excited to see the boxes delivered. What a pleasant surprise! Did I mention that we use all of them daily? Now, each one of them have their own pencil case with sharpened pencils, crayons and markers. There's absolutely no chance of spreading germs!

  The card-stocks are used to create decorations for the classroom and bulletin boards. It was also perfect for printing anchor charts and visuals to help my students remember math strategies and reading skills.

• A Chromebook for In-Person and Remote Learning

  My students and I are beyond grateful for your generous donations. We were so excited to see the package brought in during in-person class. Thank you once again for giving us a Chrome Book laptop to use during in-person and remote learning. The laptop is used everyday during class in the building and loaned to a student whenever their school-issued device is not working. Rest assured, the laptop is wiped clean and disinfected after every use. Not only does it make accessing Google Classroom a breeze, it also makes joining live sessions easier. The laptop also makes editing documents and slides easier for my students, and they are able to practice and improve their typing, an essential skill in this day and age.

• Mighty Mouse for Grade 2

  We are beyond grateful for your support in giving my students mice to use in the classroom. Before getting the mice, most of them struggled using the track pad. Now, they find it easier to complete online assignments since they have mice to use. Everything is easier and faster. The mice enable them to edit documents and presentations easily. They were also able to complete most of the work on their own with speed and accuracy because they were able to control the cursor better.

  My students and I are beyond grateful for your donation. A huge thanks to Kleenex for matching the donation. We were all excited to see the packages arrived just in time for in-person learning to begin. You always have our back, donors!

  With the Covid-19 virus making the air in the classroom unsafe to breathe, the air purifiers added a layer of protection to keep us healthy and safe. It helps circulate clean air in the classroom, in addition to keeping the windows open.

  My students and I are very blessed to have your support. Your gift has helped them get the essential supplies that they need to start the year on the right track. Even though this school year is like no other, my co-teacher and I and the children are doing our best to have some semblance of normalcy. They were all excited to see their personal supply of pencils, colored and dry erase markers, and post-it notes to use during in-person learning and at home on remote learning days. The organizer drawer was a perfect storage for our headphones. The children are now able to access the headphones easily. • Second Grade Can Code

  We can't thank you enough for your generous gift of the latest technology to our class. These IPads will be used not only for coding and robotics unit but also for the apps for the drones. Our students are all enthusiastic about this unit. They will learn how to code and use the robot Dash to create projects and solve problems. Students will also learn ho to use technology appropriately. They look forward to engaging lessons and working collaboratively in groups. Your donations will create a lasting impact in our students' lives.
