I teach three sections each of 9th and 11th grade English Language Arts at Spectrum Academy in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Most of my students are on the autism spectrum and/or have other learning challenges such as Dyslexia, ADHD, SPD, etc. Despite their challenges my students have amazing talents and curious minds. I enjoy cultivating their curiosity and expanding their critical thinking skills through exposure to a depth of rich literary sources, discussion, and the exploration of ideas in their own writing voices.

About my class
