Give Us the Beat
Funded Dec 1, 2021Thank you for your tremendous donation. Students are using the instruments that you have donated to our classroom in lots of different ways.
They have used instruments to keep a steady beat. Played along with songs such as "Autumn Is Here" and "One Little Bud". They have learned how to use the instruments correctly and how to add instruments to their musical compositions.
When students first saw the instruments, they were awed and thankful. They had never been able to play instruments in their classes before and now they get a wonderful gateway into making music. Each student has an instrument that is their favorite, but also they love to explore and use the instruments in new ways.
Next, students will be working on using the instruments to develop their own musical compositions. They will choose instruments that reflect what they want to hear and express in their music. It is a great way to keep students engaged and encouraged to experiment in music.”

Funded May 6, 2020I want to personally take time to thank you for your generous donation. As we know, the past 6+ months have been extremely difficult for all of us, especially including our students. Their whole school world has been turned upside down. The iPads you have provided to them through your donations has given them hope and joy in our Music Classroom.
We use the iPads to help students explore many aspects of Music. They become musicians, instrumentalists, composers, researchers and so much more. There are so many wonderful music education apps that students are using to help them navigate a music room in the time of a pandemic.
I have loved seeing my students exceed my expectations and abilities when it comes to the devices. They are excited to use, share knowledge and explore on these devices. It has given me another path to create special moments with the students, as well as to connect to them.
I want to thank you again for your generous donation. Thank you for bringing joy to my students lives and making our Music program something spectacular!”

Funded Dec 4, 2019Thank you so much for your wonderful donation. My students love to make music, and they especially love to play instruments. Your donation has allowed my students to have a fun and easy time using the metallophones!
Every time I take out these met allophones, my students' faces light up! They are so easy to use and are durable for all of my 600 students. These will last me years and years and longevity is so important. My students will play, create and explore songs and stories on these instruments that will last for years and years.
Again, thank you for supporting my students. Music is so important to our souls and when my students have the materials that they need, they are able to create and explore whatever their imaginations come up with! We all truly appreciate your generosity and support!”

Funded May 23, 2018I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous donations. Right now our Ukulele Club is up and running! My students already know their first chord just after one session. Because of your donations, I am able to teach Ukulele to twenty students in my school! They are so excited to learn and are extremely focused but also having a lot of fun. It is a joy to teach and learn along with them!
When students first saw the Ukulele packages they were mesmerized. As I took the Ukulele out of it's case they became more visibly excited to play them. Finally they were able to touch and feel and play the Ukulele. My students were so thankful for the experience and excited to get started learning!
As the weeks go on, my students will continue to learn new chords, rhythms and even songs. My hope is that the students will be able to sing and play their Ukulele's for our Brotherhood Concert in February. After that, we will continue to work on our performance skills, playing duets and working on more complicated chords! I would even love for my students to compose their own Ukulele songs.
Again, thank you so much. You are so generous and kind to give to these students. We all need a chance to express ourselves and to gain experiences through music. Through your generous donation you have given that to my students and I will forever be thankful.”

Ms. Prato
