Vying for Violins - Help Beginning Violin Students
Funded Sep 30, 2014I cannot thank each of you enough for your donation to my school. The students were so excited to get these violins and start practicing! With your donation you personally touched the lives of 5 students in our school.
When I called the students who made it off the violin wait list down to my room and gave them a brand new violin they were beaming. One little girl said "I always wanted to play, Thank you! Thank you!" as she jumped up and down with excitement!
Our students have weekly lessons to practice the violin. There are performances in both the fall and spring to show growth. These violins boosted 5 students life and academic success by starting the violin. I can not thank you enough!”

Funded Jan 9, 2014Wow! Thank you so much for the supplies. The students LOVE the hand bells. I can't keep them out of their hands (That's a good thing). We are using the hand bells to learn basic notes and songs like marry had a little lamb and hot cross buns. With the older groups we use the hand bells to play the super Mario brother theme. The band even used them as accents for the melodic lines to help them stand out.
The students are super excited to have a working drum set. I have a high school student who had a drum set as a child but sadly when his house burned down the drum set was destroyed. When he walked in the room and saw the drum set in working ordered he played for over an hour with the biggest grin.
The students at the elementary level also love the working drum set. We are able to utilize both the drum set and cymbal in band on a daily basis. I really can not thank you enough for your donation. I greatly appreciate it as well as my students!”

Funded Mar 30, 2013I want to take the time out and thank each and everyone of you for helping me out with our rocking' band project. This means so much to my students and my self. My students have had so much fun playing the drums and I have been able to fix our guitars whose strings have popped.
Our school is very lucky that each of you have helped us on our musical journey. Our students sometime face great adversity when they step out of our school but having a solid music program with working equipment can help some of those students make better decisions and become better people.
THANK YOU!! From me and all of my students. We are grateful!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Powers
