Our school doesn't have a library, so each teacher has their own classroom library. We aren't given any funds to supplement our library, and all of my books were hand-me-downs from retired teachers or have come from my own pocket. These novels will help my students find reading to be more inclusive for every student, instead of only showing stories from one specific kind of demographic. A lot of my students are below their reading level for their age. Since reading is hard for some of them, I want to try to find novels that will make my students want to read and, hopefully, make them lifelong readers!
