As students in Special Education, my class is already behind the curve. All my students started this school year performing significantly below grade level in reading, writing and mathematics. However, with this project, you will be able to help them catch up and provide an equitable education for them. By donating to our project, not only will you help my students access their learning interventions more effectively, but you will be helping to guarantee their engagement of learning and thus substantially pushing their academic achievement. I am asking for three HP Touch Screen Computers. As students with learning disabilities and sensori-motor needs, a large screen with touch capabilities will allow for optimum engagement. Students who already have special education needs will have what they need to focus on the task at hand and not worry about whether their screens are going to work, or are too small for them to see. Additionally, for those students who struggle with using a computer mouse, this barrier will essentially be eliminated, allowing them more instructional time at the computer. My students will use these machines to access online interventions.
