Students enter my school counseling office mostly because they are in crisis or because they are participating in wellness groups. Students in crisis need a calm space to deescalate and get out their feelings.
Students need fidget toys, stress balls, and drawing supplies to help them to channel their emotions so that they can be ready to go back to class.
