  • Teacher's Pay Teachers Pay Teachers Pay Teachers

    Funded May 13, 2020

The funding used for teachers pay teacher allowed me to purchase many helpful materials to have my students participate in fun and creative projects throughout the year.

Finding engaging activities for students with special needs is often hard but having funds for teachers pay teachers allows me to find a wider range of appropriate activities on the fly.

While I am mostly able to create my own activities there are times where I have to pull from ready made activities for my students.

Once again I thank you for all of your support. Without you it would not be possible!”

    With gratitude,

    Mx. Parise

  • Card Stock and Laminate and Velcro, OH MY!

    Funded May 15, 2020

All of this laminate and cardstock and Velcro has helped my students so much because it is an essential that we use every day during instruction. From token boards to individual schedules to individual books it helps us with so much!

Having all of this laminate and cardstock means we won't (hopefully) run out anytime soon and I can keep making the materials my kids need to have a great learning experience at school each day.

Thank you all so much for your continued support. It means so much to myself and my students!”

  • Ms. P Needs a New Printer!

    Funded May 5, 2020

Thank you so much for our printer. It has helped us in so many ways. It has given us the ability to print books for each student to prevent the spread of germs, it has helped us print our schedules, it has helped us print activity sheets and so much more. Now when we see a cute or funny picture we like we can print it right from the device that we are using because the printer has air print. We love that the ink doesn't run o so we can keep printing and printing and printing and printing we don't have to worry about refilling the ink!”

    With gratitude,

  • Help Me, Help my Kids!

    Funded May 7, 2020

We are so grateful for your continued support!

Using the inflatable costumes I was able to create a long lasting memory for my kiddos by creating a video they are able to look at as much as they want.

The mobile white board helped us during remote learning because we were able to use it while doing math so everyone could see the problems they needed to work on.

All of the books were so fun and entertaining to read during group reading and each of the students loved them!

With out you we would not have been able to have a great rest of the year! Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mx. Parise

  • The Bare Necessities!

    Funded Aug 23, 2018

    • How are you and your students using the new resources? Share a specific classroom project or moment.

Our supplies have been such a help this year! The students have used the materials every single day from the beginning from the first day of school up until today as I write this. Students have gotten the most use out of the pencils, glue sticks, and rolling bins. I personally, have gotten the most use out of the laminate. It is bitter sweet to say that all 5 of those laminate packs have been used up since January. The biggest impact for the students is the rolling bins are used daily for the students' independent workstations. They store their supplies and put their completed workstation work inside the different compartments of the bins. This helps them learn how to be independent and organized.

    • How did your students react when they first saw the materials?

My students loved that they got new supplies this year. It took some adjusting to use their rolling bins but once they learned how to use them, they love having their independence to do their work, and having the ability to keep themselves organized. Knowing that they have new markers, crayons, and construction paper made their day as well! They love to create art projects with the donated materials and have used all of the art supplies for various projects completed throughout the year.

    • Your donors got a little peek into your classroom by contributing to your project, and we know that they'd love to learn more. What are the next steps for your students on a current classroom lesson or project?

The next steps for my students will be to create different sea creatures to use to decorate the classroom with. They will use the crayons, construction paper, and markers to draw and create their own personal sea creature that they want to explore during our next unit, which is taking a trip. We are taking a trip under the sea. We will explore all there is about sea life and life under the sea.”

    With gratitude,

    Mx. Parise

Teaching high schoolers about history and social studies is one of my favorite things about my job. The other? Making connections with my students and getting to know them as the incredible young people that they are. In my classroom, we value respect, dignity, and perseverance. By students working together and sharing knowledge they can do anything they set their minds to.
