  • Materials to Make History Hands-On!

    Funded Nov 10, 2024

My students have had an endless supply of paper since our delivery! Not only paper but ink for our class printer. They also love having color copies and the ability to print their own papers as needed.

Being able to provide the various materials my students need to complete their daily tasks during their class period would not be possible without your help!

They were all elated to see the stylish new highlighters that they could choose from when it comes time to annotate texts. We have gotten a lot of use out of the colors of the world crayons and colored pencils as well.”

  • An Ipad for All

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

The biggest impact of this iPad has been the ability for several of our students who have not had a device to use to complete their work or submit work, to now have a device to use. If a students cell phone is not charged, broken, or if they do not have one for some reason, they have an alternative method to submit their assignments.

Students in each of our classes have benefitted from the use of the iPad as it lives on the front of the room in its case and on its stand. Students are free to use it as needed so long as they treat the iPad with respect and always remember to charge it when the battery is low.”

  • Flexible Seniors Deserve Flexible Seating!

    Funded Sep 13, 2024

These resources have helped our students have a place where they can go to relax and unwind. They love using the couch to work in groups, work independently, and even take a nap when they are using our classroom during their off period.

Students have been using the clip boards to move around the room much easier especially during gallery walks. they no longer have to use the screen of their phones to write on.

The goal is for the students to continue developing their communication skills, work together to solve challenges, and produce a final project that reflects their collective effort. I'm excited to see how the space continues to inspire them to be more creative and engaged in their learning!”

  • Senior Snapshots and Scavenger Hunt Prizes!

    Funded May 30, 2024

The class of 2024 had an absolute blast on their trip to Ellis Island. They were so excited to use the cameras that they got started testing them out before we even got started on our scavenger hunt! They discovered features on those cameras that I had no idea were there when I selected them and boy did the kids love them!

Students who did not get to go on the senior trip were so thankful to have these items to help make the end of their senior year memorable. The students were even excited to see their teacher chaperones matching in tshirts that were custom cricuted for the trip. Over all we had the best time and we are so grateful.”

  • Ms. Parise Needs a New Printer (Again)

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

Our new printer is a beast of a machine and helps us so much throughout our day! Not only are we able to print extra copies, but my students are able to have color photos of political cartoons and other images that help their learning process tremendously!

It is especially useful for student when they need to complete an assignment and print it to turn in. They now know they can come to us and get something printed out so they are able to turn in their assignments!

I thank you for your contributions, I wouldn't be able to Do what I do without help from generous people like you!”

  • First Year Full Year Back After COVID

    Funded Sep 27, 2021

Thank you so much for our resources! Our students love using the Chart paper hangers when coming up to the "parking lot" for questions.

When students are greeted each morning, they know that if they need to staple something or sharpen their pencil, or even turn in an assignment it goes on the black table in the front of the room!

Finally, the Binders have come in clutch for our students in need! Many students struggle with executive functioning skills that help them stay organized in school. These binders help students stay organized with their notes!”

  • EASEL-Y Accessible Furniture for All!

    Funded Jan 21, 2020

Students we able to use these resources to move about our classroom more fluidly and with more independence! What a difference it made for them!

Our tables and sitting areas helped us be more collaborative and work together to build social communication skills, emotional intelligence, and make new friends all while learning throughout the day.

While the 2019-202 school year did not end the way we planned, we were able to use our new furniture for a few weeks before schools were closed due to the pandemic and it made all the difference.”

  • Velcro, Laminate, and Card Stock Oh My!

    Funded Sep 21, 2020

My students were able to have all the handmade materials they needed during remote instruction thanks to your generous donations! Tools to keep them on track such as visual schedules, token boards, and choice boards make all the difference to keep consistency between remote learning and in school learning.

By utilizing technology and tactile resources, my students were able to successfully use their skills and build them by continuing to participate in their learning tasks at home. It put their minds at ease to know they have familiar materials to use that helps them stay on track and be successful at home. They were so excited to show their families their progress at home as well!

My students continue to benefit from these materials as they provide them with the constant support they need to be successful throughout their day whether they are at home or they are at school!”

Teaching high schoolers about history and social studies is one of my favorite things about my job. The other? Making connections with my students and getting to know them as the incredible young people that they are. In my classroom, we value respect, dignity, and perseverance. By students working together and sharing knowledge they can do anything they set their minds to.
