Students love using whiteboards and markers. They feel they can take risks because their answers are not permanent. Something about writing in markers excites students. Having a teacher table that has a whiteboard surface will allow me to work individually and collaboratively with students in an efficient manner. The table will also double as a creative work station for students working on project based team tasks. Students can use different colors to work out math problems. Students can use different colors to highlight parts of words in literacy. They can create charts and diagrams while brainstorming a STEM activity, My goal is to eventually replace all my classroom tables with these work stations to mimic 21st century careers and the importance of collaboration. And we will save lots of trees!
