All We Need is Books!
Funded Apr 29, 2019Thank you so much for your generosity! We are so thankful to have a community so willing to give us the materials we need. The love of reading is an important theme in my classroom and because of you, the students can see the excitement I personally get from new books and it builds their own excitement in learning the content provided by these books. I think you will be happy to know that with the amazing books we were able to get with your help, not only did you make it possible to enrich the curriculum for my own classroom, we were able to share the materials with other second graders to give a more exciting and in-depth look into what life was like for immigrants during the age of Ellis Island.”

Social Studies Through Art
Funded Nov 24, 2018Thank you so much for all your generous donations for this project. While all of the art supplies arrived back in December and the students were able to build their long houses then, it took as until recently to really put our longhouse village together. We wanted to align the "unavailing" with our non-fiction publishing party so that our families were able to get the first peek of our clay creations. Now that all of that is complete, we're happy to share with all of you some of the pictures from first, the building of our project back in December. Then, the painting of our projects in January. Finally, enjoy the finished project, put together just last week. Thank you again for supporting these wonderful and creative students!”

Make Our Classroom Chrome-plete!
Funded Aug 10, 2018We want to thank you so much for all of your generous donations that made this project a "chromeplete" success! After learning all of our classroom procedures and routines, we were able to begin using our chrome books very early on in the school year thanks to how quickly this project was funded. The students were excited just seeing them in the classroom! As of right now, we have only been using the chrome books for our math center rotations, one or two times each week. However, as the school year progresses, the students can look forward to using them more and more! As for now, they love being able to use this technology to play math games (and I love that they are able to do math assessments on it!). We truly appreciate all of you!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Ceja
