  • Hooked on Our Nook

    Funded Nov 30, 2020

The reading nook has had a tremendous impact on my students. When they first brought it in they were curious about the giant box that the custodian had dragged in. Many also wanted to use the box it came in for other fun purposes hahaha.

Recently, the reading nook has been turned into a calming corner. My students needed support in social emotional learning so I decided to turn the reading nook into a calming corner filled with resources such as books, plush, and fidget toys. My next steps are to help support my students in regulating their emotions with the support of the nook.”

Thank you so much for the support! Although we are currently doing distance learning we will some day in the future have lots of fun with these materials. Magnetic Tiles are one of the most popular items in the classroom. I can just imagine how popular these giant magnetic tiles will be!”

  • What Will My Students Create?

    Funded Nov 24, 2017

I can't believe I never sent this letter out!! So upset at myself for this. In the past year, my students have benefited tremendously from having these 3Doodlers. We have made many things for various occasions. For example, for Father's Day my students made keychains for a father figure in their life. My students have also learned about prototypes and the design process. My school is a one of a kind magnet school in a low income area with limited resources. The 3Doodlers have nudged my kids to extend their thinking and possibilities. Thanks again for this great learning tool!”

  • Big Books for Big Kids

    Funded Mar 3, 2020

I am filled with joy and thrill knowing that my students will be able to enjoy these classic stories in large print and pictures. Having a large selection of big books will help support my students’ readiness skills. Also, now every spot in the carpet will be a good one to see the pictures!! Once again thank you so much for your donations they are truly appreciated!”

  • L is for Listen & Learn

    Funded Aug 29, 2017

My students had been very eager to use the listening center, having wireless earphones was amazing to them. Unfortunately, I had limited teaching resources that I could use for them to learn. Now with my new letters sounds program I have over 50 activities that they can do in the listening center. I have benefited from them having this reinforcement and they are excited to finally have something to do in the listening center. Some students prefer the listening center over the other centers since it is the less noisiest and they feel they get less distracted and so does their teacher :)”

  • If You Give a Child a Headphone..He's Going To

    Funded Dec 10, 2016

There are not enough thank you's in the world to show my gratitude and appreciation. Thanks to the Phonological Awareness Listen and Learn center my students have been able to practice skills that they need to know in order to be successful in reading. The new technology is not only helping my students but it is very helpful to me, now I am able to have an additional group during center time. The wireless headphones has benefited my students because they no longer have to worry about getting tangled together or dropping something because they forgot to take them off.

My students were particularly excited about the wireless headphones, they jumped around and were happy to know they could spread around in the carpet and did not have to be scrunched up together. I have a student in particular that struggles maintaining her focus, she seems to like the listening center because it focuses her attention on the activity. I am confident that my new materials will benefit many students to come!!”

    With gratitude,
