I teach an ambitious and loving population of students who benefit from pull out and special support in order to meet their educational needs. They prove that despite the challenges that come with their unique learning profiles, they have more than enough potential to rise to high expectations - especially when they are given the appropriate learning environment they deserve. The staff and students at my school have spent the last two years working exceptionally hard. 2 years ago we were designated as one of the lowest performing Massachusetts schools. Now for, the first time, members of our community have access to high quality education. While it is amazing that we have been able to make progress, there is still a lot of work to be done to make sure we don't leave behind the students who are struggling the most. That is where my work comes in, adding students with special needs to our narrative of success.
