Math! Science! and Centers! Oh My!!
Funded Jan 13, 2015Hi Friends!
Thank you so much for your generous donations! With your help, my little kiddies were able to increase their math and science hands on learning through super fun Math and Science Stations! When the package first arrived, I was so excited I ran to share the great news with my mentor! The next day, I was able to share our "new math and science stations" with the kids! Seeing their eyes light up with excitement was priceless! To see any child's face light up at new books is any teacher's dream, right?
We were able to utilize the brand new math and science manipulatives through stations and whole group learning. The science stations quickly became a favorite of the students. The students loved to explore with magnets. They kept shouting, "Mrs. Nhem....Look! Its magic!" and I would say, "No! Its magnetic." So adorable! The math stations were also a huge hit. My kids love creating 2D and 3D shapes. They have even been able to use their imagination and problem solving skills and have created their own creations.
This project has provided an invaluable opportunity for my students to be able to work on their fine motor skills, math literacy, problem solving and has made learning fun! Thank you again for your generosity.”

Literacy Learners Looking for a Listening Center!
Funded Nov 4, 2013Hi Friends!
Thank you so much for your generous donations! With your help, my little kiddies were able to increase their literacy through a super fun Listening Station! We were able to utilize the brand new beautiful books and corresponding Cd's in our Listening Station. A group of 4-5 students would gather around and listen to the story on audio. The Team Captain of the group would have the oh so important job of turning the page! Kids love to be "the teacher" when given the chance. After the story was finished, the students would go back to their seats and fill out a response sheet where they would describe their favorite part of the story.
This project has provided an invaluable opportunity for my students to be able to work on their listening skills, story retelling, comprehension, and writing skills. Thank you again for your generosity.”
