I teach at a Title I school in Moore, Oklahoma. Many of my students come from backgrounds with limited resources. Teaching my kids to code, and having the technology they need to create their own projects will allow them to develop skills that will serve them well in almost any career they may choose in the future. My students are excited about technology, and deserve the opportunity to take control of their own learning through the use of coding software and sets. I hope to have my project fully funded in order to purchase 4 Lego Education WeDo 2.0 Core Sets. These sets include the bricks, software, and curriculum for 2 students. I will use these sets in centers, where my students will develop life skills from coding, such as, critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, patience, communication and a foundation for other STEM skills.
