I am asking for six iPads with cases and headphones. These iPads will benefit my students specifically in reading, writing, science and math. The apps on the iPads will provide practice with essential skills in print awareness, phonics, spelling, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing. The math apps on the iPads will provide students the opportunity to recognize numbers and shapes, add and subtract, and listen to word problems.
In comparison to other tablets, the iPad offers differentiation such as audio and a larger screen.
Audio will provide engagement and achievement because apps will provide pre-reading support, the opportunity to read and listen with a partner, and read selected words. The larger screen enables students to write, draw, and read larger print onscreen. For example, students can practice letter writing, numbers writing and sight word writing by tracing. Students will learn to be independent and this will lead to student achievement.
