  • Engaging Students With Color!

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Your generosity has reached the lives of 24 students in my classroom. With your donations we have purchased a color printer that has brought vivid images to our classroom. Reading books in color is so much more engaging for these first grade students!

Thanks to your support, students are accessing our Reading, Writing and Math curriculums with vibrant color! Additionally, you have helped us purchase free ink for the year! My students are excited to learn using these colorful materials.

Thank you again for your support and thoughtfulness.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Nangle

  • Magic Reading Carpet

    Funded Aug 19, 2022

Thanks to your generous donations, each day my students are able to gather together on our new eye-catching rug! This new rug gives us a space to come together and learn from one another. With the bright spots on this rug, each student has a specific place where they can sit and learn each day.

Our library is filled with new colorful bins to keep our books organized. Students are able to access their books daily and easily thanks to this new organization.

My students were so excited to see these new additions in our classroom. We are all so grateful for donors like you.”

  • Headphones for All Students

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Our classroom set of headphones helps our students access individualized learning each day. Students are excited and engaged with each opportunity they get to benefit from these headphones. Mostly, students are using these headphones to independently work on their computers.

Our students are most excited about these headphones because they are able to hear their own individualized instruction on their computers. Before our classroom set of headphones was donated, students often got distracted by the sound of other devices in the classroom. Students now can focus solely on their learning and hear their important instructions.

This donation is especially helpful for students learning to read. The headphones have an adjustable microphone attached. This helps students record their voices and playback themselves reading. This is helpful for students practicing fluency and word-solving skills. We are so grateful for the generosity of all our donors.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Nangle

  • Technology for Diverse Learners

    Funded Nov 21, 2018

I want to thank each of you for your thoughtful and generous donations to my technology project that has benefited my first-grade classroom. The students in my classroom were ecstatic to open the IPads and have been using them every day since their arrival. Students access the Ipads during reading, writing, math, and recess! Educational applications such as "Epic!", "Zearn", "Teach Your Monster to Read", and "Class Dojo" are used regularly by my students. These applications make learning fun and interactive in all content areas! I am also able to track student usage and collect data from these applications.

The most exciting thing about your donating these IPads is to see students creativity come to life! Each day students use these IPads to write, draw, design, film and create. During recess, the IPads are shared among adventurous students hoping to catch an exciting or funny moment through the use of IPad video camera. To watch the students learn and explore their creativity is the most exciting part of this donation.

My students and I want to thank each of you for your generosity and kindness. The impact your donations have made are priceless for these students learning and creativity. Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Nangle

Two iPads will make an enormous impact on the learning environment in my classroom. Each student learns differently, and the use of IPads can assist students in differentiating for their certain abilities. These iPads can be used for various reasons including a speech to text writing application. Students in my classroom who are struggling to write are expected to complete the same demanding standards of writing as students with grade level writing abilities. A speech to text writing application can help students demonstrate their understanding and knowledge of a topic even if they are unable to express themselves through writing. This type of assisted technology can help students better access the curriculum. My students are diverse learners, made up of English language learners, students with disabilities and gifted students. The use of iPads can also assist students in growing their reading abilities through the use of applications such as Lexia and Raz-kids. These programs differentiate to student ability as they read and assess their knowledge, providing students with individualized instruction based on their academic needs.
