Love for Reading in 3rd Grade!
Funded Feb 2, 2025Because of your kindness, my students now have an incredible collection of decodable books that are helping them become stronger, and more confident readers. The "Charge into Reading" series and Junior Learning Decodable Readers have made a world of difference in their learning. We are using them in small group instruction and the kids love them.
With books that focus on digraphs, long vowels, consonant blends, R-controlled vowels, and spelling patterns, my students are mastering reading skills step by step. More importantly, they are excited to read, eager to practice, and proud of their progress!
Your donations have brought joy, confidence, and a love for reading into our classroom. Thank you for believing in my young learners and making such a positive impact!”

Ms. N. Santiago

Better Mental Health in K
Funded Sep 20, 2022Playing games like jumbo tic-tac-toe and using toss/catch balls-paddles also stimulate cognitive development and strategic thinking, making learning fun and dynamic. Most importantly, these activities provide an outlet for stress relief and emotional expression, contributing significantly to better mental health and emotional resilience.
With your generous support, we can ensure that our kindergarten students have the opportunities and resources they need to grow, learn, and enjoy a happy, healthy school experience.
Thank you for helping us nurture the physical and mental well-being of our youngest learners.”
With gratitude,
Ms. N. Santiago

Funded Apr 20, 2022By having their own set of supplies, my students learn to take responsibility for their materials. They develop organizational skills and a sense of ownership, which boosts their confidence and independence. These skills are vital as they prepare for future academic challenges. In conclusion, the "Loving to Write" project is about much more than just providing school supplies. It's about creating an environment where students feel supported, valued, and equipped to succeed.
My students got super excited and happy when I told them the wonderful news. They can't wait for the materials to arrive, so they can start reading all the amazing new stories and writing about them.”

Getting Ready for Next Step 2
Funded Feb 6, 2022Equipping each student with their own set of supplies ensures that they have what they need to fully participate in all learning activities. Journals will be used for daily writing exercises, helping students develop their literacy skills and express their thoughts creatively. Pencils, erasers, and a good sharpener will keep their work neat and precise, teaching them the importance of attention to detail. Crayons will add color to their projects, sparking creativity and making learning more enjoyable, while glue will be used in various hands-on projects that encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills. When students have the materials they need, it reduces stress and anxiety, allowing them to focus more on learning and engaging with their peers and teachers. As a teacher, being able to provide these supplies demonstrates to students that we care about their success and well-being. This fosters a sense of trust and respect, which is crucial for building strong, positive relationships.
My students were thrilled to receive all these materials.”

Funded Sep 17, 2020My kindergarten students are enjoying their notebooks so much that they have a great desire to write daily. Every day they take their writing class more seriously. They take their time writing so that they can improve their hand-writing. The most they enjoy is drawing on the top of the notebook. They dedicate the time making their drawing and then coloring doing their best effort. They have become tremendous artists.
Thank you very much for your donation so that my students have the opportunity to develop their writing to the fullest.”

Funded Aug 13, 2021My kindergarten students have been so busy using the alphabet photo stickers, alphabet photo floor puzzle, word building puzzles (3 and 4 letters), matching letter game, and alphabet alligators for matching lower and capital letters. They just love to learn through games. It is so much fun for them, specially now that Corona virus has limited us in cooperative learning.
Now that the students interact less with each other due to the risk of contracting a disease, these manipulatives have helped them have fun and get excited about their learning.
Thank you very much for your donation so that my students have the opportunity to engage in rich language development during reading block.”

Funded Jan 8, 2021When I first saw that The College Football Playoff Foundation and ESPN had funded my project, I felt so blessed and honored. When the boxes arrived my students were not only impressed they were genuinely full of happiness and joy. They started planning how beautiful they would write in their new writing journals and all the things they would draw in each page.
The materials donated were not only used immediately they each have taking pride in ownership of them by sharing with any other teacher that walks into my class how they were all donated by you.
Thank you so much for making this project possible for my fantastic kindergarteners students.”

Funded Aug 11, 2020My kindergartens are so happy to receive the plastic box with pencils, eraser, glue, scissor, and the pouch mesh bag with crayons. It has been a great help in their learning and educational growth.
