  • Digital Content Boosts Virtual Learning

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

These virtual resources are amazing! Learning math isn't always fun especially when trying to learn challenging topics like fractions and decimals. However, imagine how much more challenging it is to learn virtually! The digital resources we now have access to have brought the level of engagement and learning far beyond what we expected. The resources purchased so far have helped in multiplication, division, adding and subtracting fractions and so much more. Students love how the resources are interactive, bright colored, and often use real life models. Not only that, but the materials are available at a variety of levels thus allowing the opportunity for all students to access the content. Thank you for helping in creating an even better learning opportunity with the resources.”

  • Essential Tools for Hybrid Learners

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

Thank you so very much for your generosity. So far this year we have been learning in a virtual model but these tools have come in handy often. The microphone has made recording videos and audiobooks for student learning much easier. As we are about to begin our Hybrid learning adventure where there will be moments of simultaneous learning, the microphone will work wonders in terms of allowing students to hear not only the teacher clearly but in class student voices will be able to be heard by virtual students. Additionally, the iPad stand is extremely helpful in taking pictures of students work more easily as well as helps in recording lessons too. These tools have truly helped in making a major different in teaching and learning for students already.”

  • An Apple or 2 or 3 More Learning Will Be!

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

Thank you so very much for your donations. The apple pen and iPad have already proven to be absolutely vital tools for virtual and soon to be hybrid learning. The iPad doubles as not only an excellent tool to records steps to solving math problems in specialized applications but it also has allowed for the easy ability to scan books for student use. Having the pen has made real time class recordings and note taking so much easier for students and has made lessons much more fluid. As we being phasing into hybrid, the apple tv will be pivotal in being able to digitally share a students work from a laptop or the iPad with ease. These items have truly made a vast improvement on teaching and learning within the classroom.”

  • Learning All Day While Keeping Germs at Bay!

    Funded Oct 1, 2020

Thank you very much for your donations. With students starting to come back to school for hybrid learning, students nerves can be put more at ease knowing that we have two air purifiers running all day helping to keep the classroom air clean. Additionally, each student will be receiving individual kits with their own mini sanitizer, tissues, and other materials. Although our current school year is anything but normal, students will still feel supported and much safer knowing they have these necessary materials to use daily.”

  • A Second Monitor Improves Virtual and Hybrid Teaching

    Funded Oct 14, 2020

Thank you so very much for completely changing virtual teaching for myself and my students. For the first time ever, slides can be shared with students while also being able to see all their faces and monitor engagement. It is easier to navigate between screens to display work, activities, and examples so that students can see without having to try and shuffle around multiple windows on one screen which can be time confusing and distracting. Our virtual learning time is now much more fluid and students are able to stay engaged more easily since navigation has improved drastically. Thank you so very much for this opportunity.”

  • Learning All Day While Keeping Germs at Bay Part 2!

    Funded Sep 16, 2020

Thank you so very much for your generous donations. We are in the process of creating learning material bags for our students and it feels great knowing that we are able to send home headphones for students to help them focus. Additionally, we are about to restart our hybrid learning model and there is now a great deal of peace of mind knowing that the students will have access to extra masks, face shields, and gloves to stay as safe as possible in school. Creating a learning environment that feels safe for students even amidst a pandemic is absolutely crucial for a successful academic year.”

  • The Odds and Ends to Complete A Classroom

    Funded Oct 14, 2019

Thank you very much for providing such wonderful new items to our classroom. We finally have a class set of headphones which the students use regularly on tests, twitch math videos, or to practice their listening skills in comprehension. The tool kit has been absolutely essential lately. We have had several desk chairs come unscrewed that we easily fixed and we have also been able to finally level many of our desks too! The art storage portfolios have been a great place to store any of our anchor charts and posters. Our school supplies are finally well organized in the storage drawers as well. Lastly, having the incredibly bright and informative bilingual posters in the classroom help to create a learning space that shows students that being bilingual is special and important regardless of whether they are learning in the English or Spanish classroom on any given day. Thank you for helping us to make our classroom function in a better way.”

  • Ecosystem Learning in Action

    Funded Aug 8, 2019

Thank you very much for giving our students the opportunity to watch an ecosystem in action. The students absolutely loved thinking up and voting on names for our classroom fish. Additionally, they have loved watching the wheatgrass and raddish micro greens grow quickly and only with special rocks and the bacteria which thrives within the tank system. They have learned a great deal about how the entire tank and all its parts are linked and require one another to be successful. Student's have asked great questions regarding how the plants grow, how can you determine a beta fish's gender, how to the plants and fish benefit each other, and much more. They love seeing their fish, feeding them, and saying hello. Thank you for providing us this great opportunity.”

  • Making Reading Units Real

    Funded Aug 8, 2019

Thank you very much for adding new life to our reading units. The students absolutely love seeing how the class decorations have changed. They also love how as they are reading a novel, they suddenly realize what the decorations represent. It was awesome to see how the students responded when they read about how Nicholas Allen turned his classroom into a tropical island. They all started saying aloud " Oh! That's why there are palm trees, flowers, flamingos, and beach balls around the room. They can't wait to see what the new decorations will be as we prepare to start our next reading unit over the course of a few weeks.”

Every child deserves the best opportunity to learn and grow. As educators, we are not just educating a child for the time they are in the classroom. We are educating them so that they have the foundation needed to continue to grow and be successful as adults within our greater community. The future of our world depends on the young bright minds that enter our doors each day and those minds need access to a variety of materials to succeed. It is my hope that through the generosity of the community at large, I will be able to provide whatever materials and technology are needed to allow my students the best chance at a fulfilling and successful future.
