Being in "Special Ed" doesn't mean that my students aren't smart. In fact, they're brilliant, charismatic, and fun...they just need extra support to finish things up, extra reminders to stay on task, clear directions, and LOTS of organizational help. Although all of them face learning challenges at school, as well as sometimes turbulent home lives, we've made a lot of progress this year, and discovered the joys of reading, writing, and studying the world together. Since we don't have a lot of financial resources our own, we need all the resources we can get, and we need your help.
