  • Savannah Squares Part 2: Project done! Now the trolley tour!

    My students thoroughly enjoyed their trolley ride through our city's historic squares. The trolley tour guide happened to be a mother of twin boys who attend our public schools who was able to present to our group with animation and interest.

    My students were able to make real-life connections to their city, and most importantly, experienced the historical buildings and landmarks they studied and built in our gifted classroom first hand.

    This amazing learning opportunity would not have been possible for us without your most generous donation for our trolley tour. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and will be forever grateful for this mobile classroom experience!”

  • Savannah Squares Project

    It is with heartfelt thanks that I send this message to you. My gifted students would not have been able to work and complete our Savannah Squares project and study of historic downtown Savannah, Georgia.

    The monuments, squares and historical characters really "came to life" for this eager bunch of hard working learners. They worked cooperatively, peer teaching and and constructing replicas of Savannah's well-known historical landmarks.

    We are excited to be able to teach our younger students about history, acting as student tour guides and hope to instill a sense of pride in our city's rich history.
