After such a challenging and crazy year I am excited to start back fully in-person with my students! This year we will not only be back in person but also in a new building! Given that a lot of shared items needed to be discarded after last year I am hoping for new and clean materials! I want to make this year the best for my students and give them the opportunity to not only be successful, but also help fill any gaps that might have resulted from the last year and a half of remote learning. Having these tools will help me meet all of my students needs whether it is using an easel in my small group or allowing students the flexibility to work around the room. It is so important that students feel at home in the classroom and having different seating options and flexible seating is one way to make students feel like they are valued. Students emotional needs are more important than ever and having a welcoming, safe, and comfortable classroom is one way to help students feel comfortable and that they can take learning risks!
