Stupendous Supplies
Funded Mar 2, 2022There's nothing better than having supplies that are fresh, new, and functional. Look at the joy and love of learning on my students' face as they work with their new clipboards. Having the right color of crayons really helps us with all of our work, but especially our art time. Now they can get a new crayon in the color they need, no more borrowing from a neighbor. My students and I are so happy to be able to have what we need to be successful. Your help brings the joy of learning to life. Thank you for your support of educators like me.”

Funded Mar 1, 2022Thank you so much for this impactful bookshelf that has created quite a buzz in my space. Now my books can be shared in a way that is so developmentally appropriate and right at my students eye level. When the box arrived my students got so excited and when they saw their new library revealed they got so antsy to read that they even skipped cooperative play time in order to get their hands on books and be the first to explore. It really brightens up my space and just shares our love of reading even more I am grateful and so appreciative of the support.”

Funded Jan 20, 2022Take a sneak peek into my classroom of highly engaged learners. I really thought this would be a slow roll out, where I would need to explain the ins and outs of how to use these new seats. I was pleasantly wowed by my students ownership of seat choice from the start. Students got to sample a few types of chairs at first, now we are onto practicing checking in with our bodies and how we best learn. Students get to choose their own seats and learn in a way that they can wiggle and work hard! Thank you so much for bringing this project to life in our classroom. I had read articles on the favorable outcomes of using flexible seating and I am grateful to get to see that happening for my students in just this short time. As always, thank you for your continued support of education and educators like me. Now more than ever it is so appreciated.”

Funded Aug 29, 2021Thank you for bringing technology to life in my technology focused classroom! The Echo Alexa has brought about so much fun and independence within our kindergarten classroom. My students love talking to "echo" and asking her questions and they especially love when she can tell them a fun fact or a silly joke. I love playing special music during certain times of the day to help us move on to new activities and to feel calm. It's great to have one more way to make this year more fun, full of joy, and easier. We are so appreciative!”

Representation Matters: A Classroom Library Project
Funded Sep 5, 2020This year has already been one for the "BOOKS", but your support and donation has made our BOOKS our favorite part of the year. The joy of seeing my student's notice their own connections to characters in the literature in our space has been so important. We have been doing a lot of work around social justice, identity, and social emotional learning and these books have come to the rescue. I truly believe that books are the windows into other worlds and how others live, doors to change our own circumstances, and mirrors to reflect our own lives and see the beauty that exists in our own spaces. For too long many of my students were not represented in the texts in my classroom and now I can say that is not the case. Thank you for granting the gift of reading, self-love, and acceptance in my classroom. I am forever grateful.”

Funded Sep 15, 2020Thank you for your immediate support of me and my scholars during this unprecedented time in teaching. The joy in my students' eyes when they saw that they were getting these new white boards at resource distribution was amazing to witness. Something so small as equitable materials so that we can all learn is so important. I am looking forward to the rest of the semester of learning. I can't wait to start practicing number fluency, writing practice, and other learning games with these whiteboards. When you donate to teachers like me you are truly living the community statement "we're in this together". I am beyond grateful and honored that you helped fund this project for my class.”

Funded Feb 20, 2020Thank you all for your support and donations to make my classroom a better space for my students. I knew we needed a new solution like an easel but I didn't realize how much of a difference it would make until I put it in the space. Students can reach! Students can take the lead and point to what we are reading, students can write at their level, etc. This really felt like something that they can own and use on their own. This was not the case before our whiteboard was too high and it was much more a "teacher" board that they could use, now they know this is one more for them to share with the class. It also gave me more space to share reading curriculum. On the back I am able to flip and ready reading things and keep them covered as not to overwhelm the sensory of my class. When we use them I flip the easel around and there they are. It's great to have more space to share information and again have it be accessible at their level. I want to reach out to say thank you for supporting teachers like me then and for still supporting us now. I am happy to have time now to share my gratitude. It is times like our current situation where the future is a bit more unsure that we lean on each other for support, wisdom, and strength. Thank you for your support of education. I cannot wait to get back into my classroom again to continue spread joy a and learning with my class.”

Creative Kids Need Creative Play
Funded Dec 12, 2019Thank you for investing in me and my class! This project welcomed us back from our winter break and brought a great change of pace for our classroom. The train and the dollhouse are toys that are fun to play with, yet also force students to play a game together. My students had been so used to building legos and parallel playing along side each other. It is so wonderful to see them creating families together in the dollhouse and building extravagant train tracks all along the rug. I have seen new creativity in my students that I did not see before and it has helped spark new interests and new friendships. I think this speaks greatly to the power of play in a classroom and I am grateful and humbled to everyone who gave so that I could bring this joy to my space and my students. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.”

Listening Centers for the 21st Century
Funded Apr 5, 2019Words cannot describe the impact that this amazing technology brought to my classsroom! My students were immediately anxious to get their hands on the new listening center. They were quick learners when it came to scanning QR codes and reading along with an almost unlimited supply of books and literacy videos. My students not only used them to read alone and together during centers and workshop time but my students begged to get to read during their play time! It was about time that I brought in some flexibility and technology into my reading centers. I think the sheer volume of possibilities with these iPods and new headphones will bring will open so many doors for my students for many years to come. Thank you for bringing this to life in my classroom and supporting students and educators like me.”

Funded Feb 15, 2019My class has changed so much in the past week for the better! Everyone in my class has taken ownership and accountability of their new cushion and it has been so fun to watch them use the room in a different way, now that they have a place to sit comfortably. It has most impacted our reading time, where before only a few students had access to a cushion to sit on, now everyone has one. A few students who greatly needed a chance to wiggle in their seats have had the opportunity to have a wiggle cushion. They love getting to rest their heads, they love to recline with comfort, they love that they have something that is theirs in the classroom as well. I cannot thank you enough for the amazing opportunities that you gifted to my class with these cushions. Kindergarten is a place of so much learning, and we are now able to do it comfortably and equitably. Thank you!”
