TPT for Science Fun!
Funded Oct 25, 2022Thank you to everyone that helped us with funding. This will benefit my students in so many ways! We are very grateful to have such generous people in our community that are happy to support our learners in every subject. Funded Sep 16, 2022The new rug and chairs for my classroom library and peace place have been great additions to our classroom. They have provided more places in the classroom for students to feel comfortable in their environment and be able to be themselves.
In addition, the figits and toys that were donated for my peace place have offered more tools for my students when they are feeling big emotions and gives them additional help to calm down and be able to come back to learning.
Thanks again for all of the donations that have helped our classroom so much.”

Book Series Madness!
Funded Jun 4, 2022The books donated through this donor's choose project have greatly improved my classroom library. Since I looped with 7 of my students from last year, I wanted to give them some new books to read and some new books that would align with their reading growth that they have made over the last year and will make over this school year.
Reading is a big part of my classroom. The students book shop for new books in their book bin every week and read whenever they finish other work. We do reading groups every single day in addition to independent reading and partner reading.
The books have been such a great addition to our classroom!”

Math Games and Book Bins!
Funded Dec 27, 2021As our students grow in their learning, I love giving them materials that support where they are headed. Adding resources to our classroom that meet the needs of the individual students is very important.
The math games give me the opportunity to create centers that students can use independently or with small groups. They also give me the chance to change up centers depending on what unit we are working on.
The book bins give me the opportunity to expand our classroom library and get more books for the students to be able to use in the classroom throughout the school day.”

Classroom Library Improvement!
Funded Nov 29, 2021As my students grow and improve their learning every day, I feel very thankful to be able to have the opportunity to share new books with them. It makes reading fun and enjoyable for them when they can find books that interest them, books that meet each student at their level, and books that showcase how we are all different.
These books introduce and help our students dive into informational texts and non-fiction subjects, as well as giving them their first opportunities to read chapter books.”

Magnets, Measuring, and Math! Oh my!
Funded Aug 12, 2021These STEM materials have been a game changer in our classroom. When we first got them, we spent a few minutes each day learning how to use each material and discussing what they taught us. We have been able to utilize the magnets station a lot as we have already covered that unit during our Science block. My students even elected to share the station with the other second grade class so that they could experience it as well.
I am constantly amazed at the enrichment that they receive by having to think outside of the box, which all of these games, stations, and materials require them to do. I think I have some future engineers!
I can't wait to move into our motion unit so that we can use more of the materials and tie them into our lessons.
Thanks again.”

Funded Aug 18, 2021These resources have greatly impacted my students. We use the clipboard to review our problem of the day worksheet and our number of the day worksheet at the beginning of math every single day. We have also been able to utilize our outdoor learning spaces more because of these clipboards.
The other materials have helped me feel like I have all of the "basic" materials to help my students succeed. We are constantly going through construction paper, dry erase markers, and more.
My students get so excited every time they see a package show up on my desk. They are particularly excited when I say that it was donated by friends, family, and others that I don't even know! This also helps them treat our materials gently.
Thanks again.”

Funded Jul 10, 2021Through these amazing books that were donated to my classroom library, I have been able to teach the students in my class amazing lessons. We have been able to talk about Martin Luther King Jr, do amazing Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons, and learn about what book awards mean and why they are important.
In addition to all of this, when I opened the box of books in front of my class and added them to the bins of books they can choose from to put into their boxes, their faces lit up with smiles. To see them so exited about reading made my heart burst. This could not have happened without you amazing donors.”

STEM For Kids!
Funded Jun 8, 2021Through this project, I have been able to extend the magic of STEM into my second grade classroom. In addition to the cart that was given through this project, we also got a multitude of STEM activities to fill it.
The students especially love the whiteboards on the sides since they are able to work by drawing straight on the table (without getting in trouble)! In addition to the whiteboards, they have been able to utilize the graph on the top of the table by using it for measuring in our math unit.
This excitement and learning could not have happened without all of you amazing donors. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
