With a comfortable area to convene as a class, we can meet as a community to learn, grow and engage with one another. A carpet with individual squares will be perfect for allowing my students to maintain their own space while also grouping and partnering up when it is time for collaborative learning. A calming corner will help my students to have a safe place to go if they are in need of a quiet moment. Soft fidget toys and kinetic sand will help provide students positive soothing mechanisms that will allow them to take short breaks and rejoin the class ready to learn.
