  • Snack Smart, Learn Smart: Empowering Students With Nutrition

    Funded Oct 23, 2023

Thank you for your generous contribution of snacks for my high school CTE Financial Literacy students! The students were thrilled to have access to healthy snacks, which have helped them stay focused and energized during class. It's been a relief to provide snacks to those who may not have had the chance to eat beforehand, and I've noticed a positive difference in their engagement and participation.

These snacks have not only fueled their learning but also opened up discussions about healthy choices and budgeting during our lessons. With these resources, we're creating a supportive classroom environment where students can thrive academically without worrying about hunger. Your support has truly made an impact!”

  • Empowering Students with Personalized "Words of the Year"!

    Funded Apr 30, 2024

Thank you for making our "Word of the Year" project a reality! When the materials arrived, my students were thrilled, diving into creating personalized bracelets that represent their school year goals. This hands-on activity has been a wonderful way for them to engage with their learning, building not only vocabulary but also self-reflection and goal-setting skills.

In a special touch, I'll be printing pictures of each student with their bracelet, writing a personal note on the back, and giving it to them when they graduate high school. Offering them a tangible reminder of their growth and aspirations. Your support has made a lasting impact on their journey, and for that, we are truly grateful.”

  • Snacks for Math Engagement!!

    Funded Jan 28, 2022

My students were so excited when the boxes began to arrive. Sometimes I treat the whole class, and sometimes I help individual students with a snack because they forgot breakfast, ran out of time at lunch, or stay late after school. They all wanted to tell you how thankful they were for your support and for helping them. You provided them with various snacks that are a huge hit for all my students. They all put in so many extra hours before and after school each day, so having access to a snack really helps them stay happy and focused. Without your support and donations, my students would not have access to these snacks. Most of my students are from low-income families, so they don't have the extra money to purchase them on their own. Thank you again for the amazing support.

I am forever grateful. Thank you!”

  • Creating a 21st Century Math Class

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

I am humbled by your generosity. Our new laptop has opened up a whole new world of math learning possibilities. If not for your help, my students wouldn't have the luxury of using a laptop in class. The enriching activities I can now introduce on our laptop will keep my students excited and engaged in learning math. Our laptop will now be integrated into all aspects of our curriculum. I'm currently using the MacBook to project to the smartboard to show images, presentations, and videos to the whole class at the same time.

Not only have you helped my current class, but students will benefit from your generosity for years to come. I cannot thank you enough!!!”

  • Creating An Engaging Thinking Classroom

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

My students and I were so ecstatic when the supplies came and I was able to create vertical nonpermanent surfaces around my classroom.

My students have been using the vertical nonpermanent surfaces to work in groups as well as to work alone. One of the activities we do is a scavenger hunt. I create practice problems on each surface around the room and the students, in groups, work to solve all the problems. My students are excited and participating. I can see that the minute they stand up and get to the board they start to work, unlike when they are sitting at their desks taking so much time for them to start. It really does seem like standing immediately starts their minds working.

Other times I use the surfaces for individual students who might be finished with their classwork and need extra challenges. This helps by saving paper as well as giving the students something different to work on. All my students seem to enjoy the opportunity to stand and do the math.

I am very excited to continue using these boards in all aspects of my teaching. Thank you so much for your contribution to my project.”

In today’s day an age, having a printer in the classroom should be as important as having pencils and paper! I want the math to come alive through assignments and projects on the computer. I’d love to give my students the opportunity to do this without all the limitations they currently face. Having access to a printer in the classroom will allow my students to more carefully review pertinent information on any given topic. Also, it will assist them in producing neat and organized work with labels, pictures, illustrations, and text passages. By giving to this project you are advancing my students’ seventh grade math learning experience. Access to a printer, will make it easier to use the four desktop computers that we have in our room. In addition, it would make completing assignments much more convenient and efficient. My students and I would greatly appreciate your support! Thank you
